I don't understand the meaning of the red dots on the "Main page", column "Time left". It concern actually two opponents over 13.

playBunny: Help me dear (very limited english) :-) "Jokes board" is that jokes 'Pawns' could write? If yes, I think it is not a serious lost compared the vileness they could issue without paying a not really expansive fee.

McduellMUG: Good suggestion. Do you know Shogi is most probably already planned for this year?

Jason: You were right! Thank you for your advice.

I have launched a new Janus game with 1 hour for each.

I will wait until 17.30h if someone is interested in else I will cancel the challenge.

Jason: Sorry to reply so late. I jumped over your message, sorry. I will say a game during less than 2 hours (1 for each). Probably I didn't click the right boxes?

Fencer: I just create a new game with a time limit 1 hour for the game. In my window I see "Time control: Not used"! I doubt it is exact :-))

Andre Faria: Yes, a new board for that purpose (oops, Fencer had just recently reduct the number of board!). I think about a board like the "Seeking window in ICC if you know that well know online club where the challenge will be cancelled at will or when we log out BrainKing.

Of course I suppose Fencer wished to know how many persons could be interested in? Well not sure often the offer creates the desire ;-).

I wish to know what appen if I create a new game with "Time for move" 0 day 0 hour and "Time for game" 0 day and for example 1 hour.

If a kind US (for example) opponent accept my challenge during "my" night, I suppose I lose on time after an hour.

If that is right, is it possible to imagine a mechanism to agree for a meeting?
I presume I could not be alone wishing sometime to play online.

furbster: Shogi may be compared by and large with Loop chess, due the possibilty to drop pawns and pieces already captured (they say "in hand").

Dear Brainking members,

Our webmaster Mr Fencer is planning to program shogi before the end of this year.

That programming is not an easy task, I am afraid. I think all of us interested in shogi could write a little word in order to boost his motivation (if necessary).

For those who ignore what is shogi, I suggest you take an eye on a Habu's interview. Mr Habu is one of the greatest shogi player of the moment and already an IM at chess!:

You will read that shogi is not a slow, snoothing game at all but a fierce race to mate your opponent.
