Fwiffo: Kipling's right, you could possibly put in a "nuisance barking" complaint - there are laws governing how much noise, how loud, and for how long you have to deal with it - you should call either the police or an animal agency (SPCA or ?) - HOURS of anything is TOO long...especially at 7am...If you go the stereo route, go ALL out, place the speaker-front on the floor, make sure it's over their bedroom, and play some Korn, Slipknot or Ozzie (I have teenagers) - maybe they'll take the hint :)
The Hunter: Sorry to hear that it's all depending on money, and I say this as a person who lives from paycheck to paycheck - for "Big Poppa" (my ferret) the most expensive part was the diagnosis, with exotic pets they have to be REALLY careful - i.e. they had to put him under just to do tests on him (their organs, veins, etc. are SO small) BUT once they knew what it was, it was more time-consuming for us than anything else - if you do wind up going to a vet, make it a bird vet, that way they'll know what their doing...good luck to you and Joey :)

Tuesday: One good way to get him to stop barking is to fill a small can with marbles or something and then when he starts barking shake it and yell no at him...you should really hit an animal because honstly they don't understand hitting.Saw the demo of the can thing and it worked
Well,I just couldn't stand it when Patch left us..we were both there and I held him and layed on the floor with him even after he was gone.I was so sad and always thought that after he had gone,I would at least take a break from animals BUUUT,I was SO lost without him, that I told my husband that I needed another one...SOON! So,yesterday we went and bought a german shepard pup....6 weeks old.OMG! Is he ever cute..He will NEVER EVER be Patch,God knows he was one of a kind, but this one sure does have my heart! After I get things caught up..I will get Patches and the new one...his name is Damien..get their pics up so you guys can see them. Thanks for all the kind words and support!
Tuesday: do you have toys for him too? You're right,it may be stimulation that he needs..I was surpried when I saw that marble thing...it was on a show on the animal planet channel...the guy did it over the time if a couple of weeks...be consistant though,I did notice that about it and sure enough..it worked...I think the show was animal U...check it out,ALOT of helpful stuff on it!!
anastasia: Bear is mainly an inside dog and he has that many toys my lounge looks as tho I have half a dozen kids LOL...he loves to play. He also has his "outside" toys...chewed up old bones, rubber toys that dont get affected by the weather, and SOME plastic containers (like ice cream)...he loves to run around with them in his mouth....toys are very important to any animal, keeps them occupied, and help stop the "IM bored" barking type thingy LOL
thanks. its my guess that it will jst come down to whether or not his body can fight the sickness on its own or not. he does seem to be more active now. my mom claims he is just depressed, but then again she never even looks at him. the last time she paid attention to the birds was 3 months ago.
