sereinthest: In 1814 we took a little trip Along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississip We took a little bacon and we took a little beans And we caught the bloody British in the town of New Orleans We fired our guns and the British kept a'comin' There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago We fired once more and they began to runnin' On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico We looked down the river and we seed the British come And there must have been a hundred of 'em beatin' on the drum They stepped so high and they made their bugles ring We stood behind our cotton bales and didn't say a thing We fired our guns and the British kept a'comin' There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago We fired once more and they began to runnin' On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico
Mousetrap: well it’s working in some measure. Basically there are two goals, maybe more. Control and money. Just like man made climate change, total bull$hi£
Mousetrap: oh I had that happen too. I was called a selfish fool for refusing the shot and mocked by the daughter of a friend just before she “unfriendly” me on Facebook.
Am I permitted to say that the hype about vaccinations is just a load of crap? The hype about…..now the efficacy of the vaccines isn’t a load of crap. It is a bunch of baloney.
Mort: snogging is sort of like wearing a mask. Most air molecules enter their the other person or don’t go far. I’m all for snogging if I could only find a snogging partner.
Mort: people should get the shots if they want. I don’t and won’t. Lots of reasons why. That said, governments mismanaged this from the start. Including the CDC and WHO. IMHO.
Tuesday: pence will never get the nomination. There are other more qualified. And Kamala had to pull out of the Presidential run. She’s unpopular especially at home. The vaccine is a personal choice. Based on evidence and clear thinking I will not get one. I don’t have cable and never watch Fox. But I can read. The FDA is putting out new warnings on Moderna and Pfizer. Experimental drugs not FDA approved. No thanks. All for a 99% plus survival rate. Both above mentioned drugs have caused heart inflammation. Hence the fda warnings.

Tuesday: I doubt in that situation tasing was an option as it happened so quickly. He save the life of another black girl which is ironic and it’s own way because Black Lives Matter are still protesting his actions. Had he done nothing or had he acted too Late, and the other black was killed by the knife wielding girl, he would be criticized for not having done some thing. It’s a lose lose for cops. That’s just my opinion of course but it seems like they can’t win when they are faced with a split second decision. I doubt that cop woke up that morning and thought “I think I’ll kill a black girl today.”

Bwild: “President Joe Biden spoke at length about the challenges of getting coronavirus vaccines where Black Americans can best receive them, saying at a CNN town hall that his administration is prioritizing mobile vaccine clinics, community health centers and pharmacies in what he called “the toughest neighborhoods in terms of illness.”
“The other thing is, a lot of people don’t know how to register,” Biden said during the CNN town hall in Milwaukee. <span>“Not everybody in the community, the Hispanic and the African American community, particularly in rural areas that are distant and in inner-city districts … know how to use, know how to get online and determine how to get in line for the covid vaccination,” Biden said. “So we’re committed to spend a billion dollars on public education to help people figure out how they can get in.”
Bwild: Maybe. If he'd stay on message and stop it with the attacks. Hillary isn't very likable. She's an easy target. Have to exploit that. And there's the promise of an October email dump that will land Hillary in plenty of hot water. I'm hoping for that. I'd love to see her in striped pantsuits.
ketchuplover: I think Trump came to my State but I'm not sure. He can't win anyway. I can't stand big crowds so I'd never attend a rally. I live in a small town. I play guitar with the mayor here. lol. He's a conservative and we have coffee and chat about the city. That's the extent of my involvement in politics here. I like to read about it and complain but I can make differences elsewhere. ;)
crosseyed: I believe I said that. So we're in agreement there. People of all flavors can do good things and often do. I was simply pointing out that we hear about the bad people do because that makes the news. Feel good stories are a segment of only some news programs and are a small percentage of the overall coverage.
crosseyed: Religious or non religious - lots of people doing good works. They don't often make the news. Sometimes they do but most often they don't. They represent a huge majority of people. Those that do bad and violate the trust of others most often make the news. However, especially when it comes to children, it's terrible to read that someone in a position of power abused that trusted position. Children should always be protected and loved, guided and nurtured. Whenever we read where abuses happen, it's not the fault of religion, it's the fault of the fallen heart of men and women.
Jim Dandy: That's the question I have too. It will be interesting to see how this one plays out. She's very popular with the left but she seems to be losing some support even in the media.
It's the Coyote Principle, folks. It's what separates common sense from liberalism.
BEHOLD:
CALIFORNIA
The Governor of California is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out and attacks the Governor's dog, then bites the Governor.
1. The Governor starts to intervene, but reflects upon the movie 'Bambi' and then realizes he should stop because the coyote is only doing what is natural.
2. He calls animal control. Animal Control captures the coyote and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases and $500 for relocating it.
3. He calls a veterinarian....the vet collects the dead dog and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases.
4. The Governor goes to hospital and spends $3,500 getting checked for diseases from the coyote and on getting his bite wound bandaged.
5. The running trail gets shut down for 6 months while Fish & Game conducts a $100,000 survey to make sure the area is now safe.
6. The Governor spends $50,000 in state funds implementing a 'coyote awareness program' for residents of the area.
7. The State Legislature spends $ 2 million to study how to better treat rabies and how to permanently eradicate the disease throughout the world.
8. The Governor's security agent is fired for not stopping the attack. The State spends $150,000 to hire and train a new agent with additional special training re: the nature of coyotes.
9. PETA protests the coyote's relocation and files a $5 million suit against the State.
TEXAS:
The Governor of Texas is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out and attacks his dog.
1. The Governor shoots the coyote with his State-issued pistol and keeps jogging. The Governor has spent $ 0.50 on a .45 ACP hollow point cartridge.
