It's probably been brought up before, but, would it be possible to mark the pieces that have been knocked off to the bar differently than the ones that haven't been moved yet in crowded backgammon and gammon race? With multiple games it's hard to keep track of forced moves the other player may or may not have.
cube would only be used in a 2 or more game match, doubled would be worth 2 games towards match, but the match would count the same as it does now, once
on your main page, at the top right of the game list, it should say time left, if the green arrow next to that is pointing down and you hit go to the next game, it should go to the game with the shortest time left
the only problem I see with these time limits is that whoever moves second can force the first one to lose because of time limits, eg, 10 in 5 days, the second player just has to wait 4 days 23 hours and 59 minusts to move, then the first player cannot possibly make 4 moves in 1 minnute, forcing the 1st player to time out since his timer would start first
Good Idea BBW, Ithink that Fencers other objection is the lack of someone being able to discuss somethingbetween moves although I think that comes into play more in reversi when a game can end while someone was not able to move for a while
yes dailygammon, I understand what you are saying, I just think of it the same way since if no one doubles ea game is worth one point. It's been a long time but I believe a doubling cube does come in to play on IYT, not that I care lol
Argomento: Re: backgammon doubling cube-answer to viking's comment
a one game match is just that, a one game match, the doubling die only would come in to play in a multiple game match or for gambling, just like on iyt
That would be fun, but would take a long time. I would worry about someone timing out with so many players. Maybe make it available to members of a fellowship to make sure players are dedicated to it. As if Fencer isn't busy enough already.
Just one more thing for your to do list. How about adding a greedy bear-off button on the backgammon boards. The button would automaticly bear-off the number thats rolled on the dice in just one click instead of two or four clicks.
