Pedro Martínez: Thanks for a good and clean game. I was almost sure that your team should tie in the second but Sweden had luck and good nerves this time. Good luck and hope you'll get revenge against Finland in the bronze game.

Salkkuman: Jarkko Ruutu should have been sent back to Helsinki right after the match with the Czech Republic. Westerlund is a coward - after the game, he said he hadn't seen the "contact". Ridiculous.

Salkkuman: Correct..if you like hockey you dont like the attack Ruutu made. Thats so coward..not tough at all! The coaches should have sent him back to Finland at once.

Any hockey fans here? Yay Finland won USA 4-3 last night and goes in medal games! Sweden won it's own game quite easily. But before Switzerlands game it lost on purpose!

Well I'm heading to the Super Bowl after all!! YIPPEE!!! A friend of mine won 4 tickets to the big game for a local TV station's website but he didn't tell which 1 tho.. Have been seeing the Seahawks training in Allen Park which isn't that far away from me. Already got Ben Roethlisberger & Jerome Bettis's autograph's as well

I'm lucky to a certain degree...I can watch some of the Olympic games live on Channel 9 out of Windsor, Canada along w/ our NBC station here. I do mostly check on ESPN, CBSSportsline an such for up to date results

BIG BAD WOLF: Yes, i have those channels..ill check them more closely.. and im aware of NBCs policy...rather send "prime time" than live, doesnt matter if people already knows who won LOL

Andersp: I see some live coverage - of course it is like at 6am US time (aprox). Not on my "local" station, but on USA, MSNBC, and CNBC if you have those stations.

And of course most of the "Good" things that people will want to watch will be held over for "prime time" viewing for beter ratings I'm sure.

Argomento: Re:
Pedro Martínez: The AFC is by far the stronger conference this season, and the Steelers have been looking really good lately, plus they have been knocking on the door the past few seasons, and they should be ready to win it this time. The Seahawks are in the Super Bowl for the first time ever, and that usually leads to a let down, since they are probably just really happy to be there.

Having said all that, I really dont want the Steelers to win, so I will predict the Seahawks!

I'm taking winter 2006 Olympic bets. Cost nothing to enter since if you win, you will get the same - nothing. (except bragging rights)

What to bet on:

A. Pick the top 3 countries with the most total medals: (If tie for total medals, then most gold out of the tied will be placed ahead of the other)
1.
2.
3.

B. Pick which country will have the most gold medals:
1.

C. Pick one country which will only get 1 medal:
1.

Anyone else have any other "easy" thing that people can place their picks on. To help out, here is the medal count for the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics:

[gold medal - silver - bronze - total]

Germany 12 16 8 36
United States 10 13 11 34
Norway 13 5 7 25
Canada 7 3 7 17
Austria 3 4 10 17
Russia 5 4 4 13
Italy 4 4 5 13
Switzerland 3 2 6 11
France 4 5 2 11
Netherlands 3 5 0 8
China 2 2 4 8
Sweden 0 2 5 7
Finland 4 2 1 7
Croatia 3 1 0 4
South Korea 2 2 0 4
Bulgaria 0 1 2 3
Czech Republic 1 2 0 3
Estonia 1 1 1 3
Poland 0 1 1 2
Australia 2 0 0 2
Japan 0 1 1 2
Great Britain 1 0 1 2
Slovenia 0 0 1 1
Belarus 0 0 1 1

As you can see, 2 countries got just 1 medal in 2004. USA at "home" got almost 3 times more medals then ever before, so will be interesting if the USA can keep that up in an Olympic they historicly do not do good at.

Have you guys ever thought about the Hooligans? The British and Germans...well they ahte each other,so I think that there will be a lot of fights and stuff, because of the World Cup is played in Germany!

I agreed w/ you Pedro about the "you guys" & "you people" thing. It shouldn't be on this or any board. I just have 2 things that I wish for this year's World Cup...All teams play fair & no injuries. I do have a funny feeling that there are going to be a few surprises that nobody would expect. I know that 1 player from the Czech Rep is recovering from knee surgery & may or may not be able to play. Not sure if that would hurt the team tho.

Argomento: Re:
Czuch Chuckers: Yes, it is but that doesn't mean that it's better. The Czech Republic is ranked second for instance and I'm more than sure that we aren't the second best team in the world.

But - look at the groups the US and Portugal are playing in. It is almost certain that the Portuguese will promote from the Group D, while the Americans are the outsiders of the Group E. All the other teams seem to me to be better.
