and in fact, a friend of mine in Nyack has a large and healthy stand of bamboo in his back yard. i forgot about that. i think it will handle our winters fine. but it's easy peasy Japanesey to unhide somebody, isn't it? just choose them in the hidden users popup and click "remove"?  17.
