Board for everybody who is interested in BrainKing itself, its structure, features and future.
If you experience connection or speed problems with BrainKing, please visit Host Tracker and check "BrainKing.com" accessibility from various sites around the world. It may answer whether an issue is caused by BrainKing itself or your local network (or ISP provider).
Hrqls: here's a 2nd reason, I have been asked to join many fellowships that are in a foriegn language that I can't read, so I don't read the boards, but, they do send me group pm's about tournements that I do join
it seems to me that 2 completed games a day should be counted with the same opponent since many people play 2 games with alternating colors, especially in tournements
Pbarb2: it's the contest that showed up on your main page july 1st. you can win a 1,2 or 3 year membership or 200 brains Fencer July Action 2006/06/30, 17:01:09 Modified by Fencer (2006/07/01, 00:46:13) 1) Good news! Thanks to Eriisa we could reactivate the PayPal option, so there are no more problems to use PayPal for any payments on BrainKing.
2) July Action! Let us try something different this month. In order to test what our site is capable of (and to give our users another chance to compete), July is the Month of Action Points. If this test period produces good results, the system of points can continue in the following months as well. And let us start with some attractive prizes: 1. place: 3 years Brain Rook membership 2. - 3. place: 2 years Brain Rook membership 4. - 5. place: 1 year Brain Rook membership 6. - 10. place: 200 Brains Please read the rules and other information here. As you can see, the system works separately for paying members and pawns, which means there will be 20 prizes to award. It is also possible to give the prize to another user if you win and do not want to use it. And, of course, suggestions to improve this system are welcome.
LionsLair: it's only a flaw if people set it up to be. otherwise they would only get 6 points no matter how many messages there are on the board. by the way, I'm setting the over-under at 200,000
it's simple, set messages per page to minimum and set it to read oldest messages first, I had over 4,000 messages alone in flame pit, that would have added up to quite a lot
Antje: Select your payment type: Wire transfer (only in Czech Republic) If you can make a money transfer directly to our bank account, take advantage of this fastest way of payment. Bank transfer via MoneyBookers This method allows you to make a money transfer in more than 30 countries using local bank transfer with minimal fees. It requires to create a personal account on MoneyBookers.com. The basic amount is defined in EUR but you can pay in lots of other currencies using the current exchange rate. Wire transfer (international) If you have neither a credit card nor a PayPal account, you can make an international money transfer directly to our bank account. This operation usually takes 5-7 business days and the price is a little higher due to additional bank fees on our side. American Express Money Order If your bank provides this service, you can ask it to make this kind of cheque (American Express Money Order) for me (Filip Rachunek) as a recepient. Then send it via a standard mail in an envelope (ask me for my postal address) and when it arrives, our local American Express office will give me the money. Money order You can also send cash money in an envelope if you are not satisfied with any previous ways of payment.
I believe that fencer has also said that he is looking for a new way to pay also. I wouldn't believe that about the Americans, this is a business
is anybody elses waiting games out of order as compared to their settings? I have mine set for time left/ascending but it being sorted by game type, and has for a couple of days now
Hrqls: I believe that your post will go below the post that you replied to which was your own post, unless someone else were to reply to that message first
Pedro Martínez: maybe there is something that I am missing, if the reply button was hit, wouldn't the header in this case say re: show thread unless someone erased it and changed it?
Mary Jo: it is using a fisher clock which means that you have 1 day total to play the whole game with a 3 hour bonus, to make it simple for example if you wait 8 hours to make your move you would have 16 hours left plus 3 hours for your bonus for a total of 19 hours to make your next move, if you wait 5 hours when it is your next turn to move you ould have 14 hours left plus 3 for a total of 17 hours to make your next turn,. these games can catch up with you when you have to work or sleep so its a good idea to play these games first when you are on-line to add up the bonus time
Fencer: I'm not conplaining but rather confused, when I go to the tournement page, It says all tournements with no option for signed, when I go to my profile and click signed it says none, on ponds it shows available ponds, and on team tournaments(the only one that makes sense) is says none
