Is auto save meant to work when replying using the "box" option?
I dont know how many times I have been in the middle of a long reply and the dog or whatever accidentally hits my mouse and changes pages on me and I can never figure out how to get that post back, its maddening
Okay kids, we all know that Andrersp is one of the people being referred to, he is upset about the auto pass deal that Fencer made and he will harp on Fencer for it, and Fencer will play the game too by making veiled digs....
件名: Re: That's a problem of local DNS resolving and cannot be affected by us.
Fencer: Well, if you are paying them for a service, you certainly have a right, and a duty to complain when their service isnt up to standards!
I personally dont understand, and I am sure I am not the only one, the technicalities of what we are talking about.
But it seems logical that if it isnt something being done wrong by brainking, and it is a problem with local ISPs or other local companies, then how can it be that we all have problems at the same time, when we are all on different ISPs and the like?
Are we talking semantics here?
For example, if brainking keeps changing something and the local companies have a hard time keeping up with these changes, then yes, it is not technically a brainking fault, it is a local companies problem, but you cannot really say that Brainking is blameess, can you?

Jason: It has to be very bad luck for sure, that out of the thousands of web sites, it is Brainking which gets the unlucky poor performance by all of our local companies
pauloaguia: Come on Vikes.... your making everyone else look bad... couldnt you at least pretended you had better things to do than work on your interview night and day?
Jason: I got that part too, but they also cannot post anything else either....
why not just a ban where they get a message, you cannot read this board, you acn not write on this board, just like when you are not a fellowship member and try to access a board?
coan.net: I guess the point is that if someone is breaking the user agreement, then it doesnt matter where it is occuring, they should just be kicked off the site, right?
But if you are doing something that only warrants discussion board sanctions, then why not a ban instead of just a hide?
Czuch: Fencer, it seems that the Globals have the power to hide someones posts site wide, including the private fellowship boards, but they can only ban them from the public discussion boards.
Could you make it so either the site wide hiding doesnt include fellowship boards, or that they can actually ban someone from fellowships as well as public boards?
Personally, I dont think that the globals should have any say over private fellowships, so my preference would be to change the way the site wide hide works
..and for anyone who needs to be banned on all boards everywhere, then maybe they should simply be removed from the site by you all together?
Okay, here is the problem now... apparently this person has been hidden on all boards, both public and private fellowships, so they are still able to post and chat with anyone who is a moderator!!!!
Please, what is the purpose to hide this person when they should simply be banned?????
Could the Globs please fix this asap, or please explain why not?
Bernice: That sounds like the appropriate measure to me too!
Like i said earlier, hiding someone should only be done when you want a post to be modified, and you want the poster to do it themselves, and then to be taken of hide.
But lately, moderators have taken it upon themselves to edit posts at their own discretion, and they have used the hide option when they should be using the ban option
Bernice: There is a difference between a hide and a ban. I am not sure what the purpose of just hiding someone is, maybe if you want them to be able to post and respond to posts, so that they can be seen after the hide is lifted???
Andersp: Okay, now that i have that figured out... I have to agree with you that it is past time for Fencer to remove any red numbers for posts written by someone who is on hide
This board has about 10 moderators, and it appears that a couple of them are replying to this person, I just cant see them! LO , too funny to have someone on hide and keep up a conversation with them that nobody else can see, I think I will ask them to either stop talking with them or take them off hide
Hrqls: Okay, now it looks like there is a person who's posts I am not seeing, but it doesnt show anywhere that i have them on hide? I tried an experiment by putting someone else on hide, and I could see them being hidden and it did not list anyone else? Something is amiss
Okay, thanks. I think what i did was when I right clicked and did not want to use anything, then I tried to escape by clicking on the "x" at the bottom, but that just disables the option all together, instead I have to left click again to get it off my screen
I noticed that my context menu option on my settings page was turned off? (it was on last night) Is this a function of clearing my cookies? Its the only thing I have done, that I can think of.
I guess if you want your own fellowship listed at the top, you have to add some symbols to the beginning of it, or make it bold letters, or something like that!
Well since I was the last person who was interviewed...... I will start off the new trend by nominating who i would like to know more about, and make the next interviewee
Jim Dandy: I think that against either Hillary (because she is a woman, and because she has too many ghosts from her husbands administration) or Obama (because he has no real experience) any republican will win.
Tuesday: Okay! You have a deal! But even for a free membership, I wont be voting for her, ever, nor do i think she will get elected with or without my blessing.
Eriisa: BTW, I must really be unique, because I thought it was an honor to be a moderator, and fun and had a hint of prestige as well! I didnt find it thankless at all, in fact, I found it rewarding, and an ego booster!
When I hear how thankless and unrewarding so many find it, I wonder why you would do it at all?
(BTW, I was not removed from moderating because of my ability to moderate, I was actually very good at it, it was because of my disagreeable insight that clashed with others opinions that got me booted!)
