Antje and i play each other in many games, usually we invite to 3 x 9 RATED games and believe me, none of us feel as a "ratingcheater"
If anyone wants to cheat he can as well play someone across the Ocean as easily, i dont understand why it must be so big noise if we sit in the same house?
My rating went down to 1550 something the other night and it was NOT because i helped Antje to a higher rating it was as simple as she had more luck than i had.
We have paid our membership (well Antje donated my membership from Linda's prize tourney to me) so i think we deserve to be treated as "no cheaters".
Why must we on and on have to read this BS about "suspicious cheating" because we sit in the same house?
I have never cared about rating but since the rating decides who will be picked to the fellowship teams i think it will be more important now.
Must say that the formula is very weird if you lose 46 BKR if you lose to a player with a lot higher rating and only -13 if you lose to a player with lower rating. Should be opposite.
Antje...i compared..you lost to a player who had 369 BKR HIGHER than you and you lost -46 BKR.
I just lost to a player who had 165 LOWER than me ..and i only lost -13 BKR.
cant be right?
Why all this noice about login. I dont type anything, i just click "login" when my name and password has "popped up".
If you have 50 games to play and have to click "submit" 50 times cant you click "login" once? :)
If you see my name in any fellowship after June 27 (when my membership expires) please inform Fencer so i can be removed. I dont want anyone to be jealous.
If i play 25 games with a girlfriend/boyfriend/grandmother 100 miles away or if i play my wife because we live in the same house.. whats the difference?.
I suppose that Antje and i are very "criminal" according to BBWs "rules". We have played 159 (Antjes wins) + 94 (my wins) games of backgammon
against each other. Now we have about 25 games running. Antjes rating is 2000+ and mine 1900+ .
We apologize being so selfish so we think its fun to play each other.
Brian and Chatty...i 100% support your opinion. Im so tired of all this childish name changing.
Suppose this should be at "feature requests" but:
1. Is there a way to make name changes impossible?
2. If anyone must change his/her name, have them pay a fee of $ 10-20 each time they change.
Doesnt matter to me if the rules are "real" or "homemade" as long as all players know how to use them. If only some players know how to "handle" this bug its unfair imo.
If there is a way to "go around" the rules in backgammon i think everybody should be informed how to use that "cheat". Remember we are playing prize tournaments in backgammon.
I agree 100% Dolittle and SOD, why all this "noise" about rating, especially in backgammon where the dices decide who will win. I checked the tournament list, a player has a tournament for players 2000+..then i checked my stats with that player...we have played 20 games i have won 11 games against him and he has won 9. But i cant play in his tournament because my rating is
below what is needed for his "elite tournament" LOL
Im sure your intention is to let Steve and Ian come back, right?
The "other things" you mention (note i dont ask what they are), cant they be solved if Steve and Ian have their paid status back?
Ok is this suggestion better? The most active player doesnt pay a nickel. The (we) others pay the difference to the "winner". So if Steve has 800 moves and #2 has 700..then # 2 pays 800-700 = 100 x 10 cents...and so on...und so weiter (german)
I dont care about BKR..its not relevant anyway since its so easy to cheat. My concern is if Fencer will allow multiple IDs from the same computer now when this "KM crap" fills the DBs.
*sigh*
