Mousetrap: im not sure how to post a link here but this is a page with the rainbow bridge story on it.http://www.petloss.com/poems/maingrp/rainbowb.htm its very moving. Well I think it is.
anastasia: Honestly, i laughed that much i was crying, it was the look on his face, when he broke wind the second time, looked at me like to say " oh yeah what do u think your laughing at " He looked so disgusted that i was laughing at him LOL
Matarilevich: so sorry for your little pet dying.I nkow it is hard,no matter if it's a dog,cat guinie pig, rat, snake, whatever, they still touch your heart in so many ways
Matarilevich: I don't know if this will make much sense, but I had a pet rat named Ann. I taught kindergarten at the time and the kids loved playing with her. She's sit on my shoulder and never messed when we held her. She was the first pet rat I'd ever had. I had many other pet rats after she died but not one could replace her. There was something special about her. It's been many years since she died and I still think of her. Perhaps it was special because she was our class pet too. But she was so loving. I can't believe I'm saying that about a rat but it's true. I'm saddened for you and your loss. I wish our pets could live longer. Take Care. ;)
Tuesday: Let me tell you something, hopefully it will cheer u up abit. Oliver my ickle pussy cat was asleep on the bed this afternoon, and broke wind while he was asleep, fell off the bed, woke up, looked at me broke wnd again and walked off...........it was so damn funny
Love, for any creature on this earth, doesn't ever end, so how could they? Anybody that's ever loved an animal/pet knows how unique and special they each are (just like us humans) - I have faith that they get to go on too, otherwise what would be the point of their spending lives (usually way too short) with us? Wherever she is, she's happy & knows that someone, somewhere loves her
Matarilevich: So sad to hear of the loss of your little friend - she's beautiful - Don't worry too much, she's very happy, healthy, and content wherever loved pets go to from here - she'll be okey and I'm sure she'll never forget you either - love is eternal, in whatever form it takes
spicieangel: You can also by special kitty grass from all good pet shops that they can eat and that lthem get rid of the fur balls, also special dry cat food, designed for fur balls can help, that also can be bought at pet shops
spicieangel: yes.there is some stuff in a tube like a salve that you rub on the animals mouth and lip and then it licks them and the salve makes the animal cough up all the hair balls etc ..i cant remember the name of it right now but a vet would know if u called and ask
Gr☺uch☺: I would have loved a dog, but becasue of the job i was in, ii was out all the time, and Jess being at school, the poor puppy would have been left at home on its own, for hours on end, and i am a firm believer that puppies need constant one to one in their early months, and i wouldnt have been able to give him/her that because of work committments.
mybirthdaysoon: I got my first dog when I was about six. Have had one ever since. Probably won't get another but would like one. It's hard losing a pet and funny but I still miss her.
anastasia: Yep. Casey was special. A kindergartener brought in a dog for show and tell and when I found out there was one pup in that litter, I went there after school and picked her up. She was very nervous as a pup and when I'd scold her for anything, her tail went wagging wildly and she'd pee sending a spray in all directions. We learned very quickly never to raise our voice or we'd get a pee shower! Seriously! So she grew up with us being very calm even when she was "naughty." lol She was very well housebroken except for a few times. Mostly she bugged me all the time to rub her belly. And if I stopped rubbing, she'd bark at me until I started again. lol She was always at my feet. I had to prove to her I was the Alpha male and she eventually accepted that. But at first, she tried to be the Alpha. Hmmm, maybe we both were :)
Gr☺uch☺: I know it does hurt tremendously, i have always put the loss as the same as losing a child. We had a cocker spaniel when i was 6 and we had to have him out to sleep when i was 18. It was devastating, he had one of his concvulsions, adn afterwards, he sat in his basket, and looked at me and my dad, like to say " I have had enough, please let me go" So my dad took him to the vet, held him in his arms whilst he went to sleep, it brings a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye, even talkign about it now.
Gr☺uch☺: I was a mess after we put PAtch down..heck,I still can't take his picture off from being my icon here at the site, lol.I miss him terribly,lol..all the things I use to get mad at him for,I think, how silly of me! I have changed my ways with the new one though,lol..training,excercise,trying to be a much better Mommy with this one.I know Patch loved me even with my faults though, thats the wonderful thing about animals, isn't it
mybirthdaysoon: Cats do have special qualities. I'm probably partical to dogs. I had a dog for 15 years or so and she was a good dog. She died a few years ago in my arms. I felt so bad. It was a Sunday and I called the vet to bring her in. She died minutes later. We had just gotten home from church and she had thrown up blood. When she saw me, her tail started waggin. Even in pain she was glad to see me. I guess it was just her time to go.
Gr☺uch☺: I have 3 cats, twin brothers and a a little fluffy ball of fur her name is mitsy-Moo. Mine are typical lap cats. They dont have litter trays, they are so good, they go out the cat flap do their business and then come back in again. They are so intelligent, and always show u that they love you, either by nudging you if you are doing something, head butting you lol or the all important purrrrr, which shows they are happy and content. Oliver purrs that loud he sounds like an outboard motor. Also if i have been out and open the front door, all thre of them will coming rnning downstairs, and will all roll in front of me , onto their backs, that is their way of greeting you and telling you that they are pleased to see you.
I jsut love them so much, they are amazing, all have their individual personalities.
mybirthdaysoon: It's very cold out and when it gets cold our neighbor's cats want to come in the house at night. they are outside cats. We have little beds for them. ;) We feed them too. And if they come in and I'm reading, I get the cat butt in the face. Why do cats snuggle like that? lol
