i would love to see site run tourns. posted for every game, time limit 1 week, and when 14 or how many you think would work sign up, then they automatically start, and then the sign up list starts again. this is just a hope and a suggestion. i miss the site run tourns. here.

is there a way to set a color for waiting games, i find myself clicking the opponents games and wondering why i can't move, i guess the line separating the 2 is not working for me. perhaps if the line was in a bright color it would help.

i like the X, and the black star, they would show up real good. i'm sure fencer will come up with something that will be easy to see. i think it would be a good addition to the drop down box.

sure, anything other then the asterick, then we could see the difference. have to wait and see what fencer thinks.

you had asked if i thought an asterick on the drop down box would be good to show the players that are on line, i think that a dot or star would be better, cause the tourns. show the astericks in the drop down box. it is just my thoughts.

i think fixing the bug should be the # 1 priority, then the cube. wondering if the fibs rating system has been discussed for the gammons, if so what was the outcome? the gammon games are most important to me.

are those pix a wiki? nothing like i was talking about. those are great:)

i hate wikis, why would we need wikis, i am so glad to be away from them. don't go by me, but i was hoping never to hear that word here, i've been editing and creating wikis for a few yrs at gt. what a pain that was.

i'm also finding BB+ confusing, it said i had 3 boats left, but i had 5 shots, then 1 game said i had 4 boats left and i got 3 shots, and there's no way of knowing what boats are sunk unless you go back a few moves. am i doing smething wrong? i've been playing this game for years on iyt, but i'm lost here.

yes, i agree, i keep trying to move and it won't let me, and then after a few tries i realize that i must be on the bar, there's is no way of knowing that.

i don't know how you can improve it, GTs ladders are the best. it would be different if you don't change the ratings to tourn. ratings only like they did, it's definitely not very popular, and causes a lot of people not to play in them, it's better to leave the ratings the way they are now.
getting off subject, if you do get the cube for the gammons then i strongly suggest the fibs rating. this is the only site that doesn't use it for the gammons.
btw, Good Luck with your changeover.

i join a lot of tourns. from the lnks on top, i think that's a good feature.

i would also like to see an optional hide button added.

i have never invited higher players, they invite me at gt, and i do play them, but the fibs rating is there, and it makes it easy not to refuse anyone, and when there are open invites in any game, and the player is much lower than me, i don't take the invite, cause i feel it's just as unfair to them. i enjoy playing the gammons, but don't like losing 50 points, it's too hard to get them back, and yes there is skill involved, but the dice play a bigger part. i'm still going to play, i was just trying to give my opinion on the rating system. i've been playing backgammon since the early 60s, i really like the game, and the ratings and best players list, is what makes this site and gt the ones that make most of us play here, i said most not all.

i agree, i hate refusing invites, but i don't want to play low rated players cause i've lost way more than 30 points when i lose. i guess the best way to go in the gammons here, is just to play ppl with ratings similar to yours, and play the low rated players at the other sites, i never refuse an invite at gt or dg, no matter what their rating is.

i was wondering about that, i timed out because the site was down, and my rating was never readjusted, and i don't remember what they were. i also think that gammon games should have the fibs rating.

shut it off, pull the plug for 2 minutes, then click moved, and keeping the im off does speed it up. you can clear cookies under help on your home page, then click latest news, then utilities and clear them.

i agree, that would be much better.

will we be able to switch the bd. so it goes in the other direction? i cannot play the gammons like this.
