furbster: thanks for posting this Enigma song - i havent heard it in ages - when i was in high school - i was a drama freak - and before rehearsals, we would warm up and center by playing music and forming a diamond of people on the stage - we would follow the lead of the head of the diamond as they moved to the music - until the movement led to a turn and the new head of the diamond would take over -
one day - our director was running late and he had asked me to lead an extended warm up - i ran up to the sound booth and turned on a blue wash of lights on the stage - and turned on this song - on repeat - it was one of the most calming 20 mins of my life - thanks for taking me back there....
I love this song. Funny, after I heard about enbeding youtube video's, I was playing around with it in my notepad, and was trying to think of a song - and this one popped in my mind - at first I told myself, I don't think there ever was a video - But I searched anyway, and found one. Cool! Guess I'll share here also.
Faith No More - I loved their early stuff with the different lead singer - you can just tell the band is having fun... not just playing to make others happy and sell a lot of albums, but having fun making music.
Gee... Thanks Fencer. I've done good at avoiding YouTube mostly in the past, but now I've discovered a large amount of live stuff from bands I love - and I love live music so much more the studio albums.... Sitting here listening to a couple of my favorite Yes/Jon Anderson songs...
Luckly the audience stops clapping along shortly after it starts, so I can hear the great song..... now if I put that on my MP3 player to listen to while I work out, I would be able to just drop into a daze and finish my workout with no problem.
So question (before I search the internet for a solution), does anyone know of a good way to rip a MP3 out of a YouTube video?
coan.net: I think it looks really cool visually, but I do worry that the sheer size of the screen will cause interesting conversations to be scrolled off too quickly to be read or responded to.
Jim Dandy: Tom DOES look evil, and we would have never known it if that video hadn't been posted. Mousetrap: Thank you. Remember me stopped me in my tracks. Gorgeous voice on that man.
Is it true that this song was a huge hit internationally? Does anybody know? I came across the second vid spoof and got hooked!! I ordered the single which has some remixes that my kids just go nuts to.... anyone outside the USA familiar with it?
Derek Trucks is probably my favorite guitarist right now. He has been playing guitar since he was 9, and has played guest spots with the Allman Brothers Band since he was a little tyke. He's been seen with Eric Clapton as well. His uncle is Butch Trucks, famed drummer with the Allman Brothers Band. Derek Trucks now plays officially with the Allman Brothers Band, and he has his own Derek Trucks Band. This is his own band.
One thing I REALLY love about him is he plays barefoot. Barefoot is what us 60s hippies call people who play without a pick. Please enjoy Derek Trucks:
Yeah, Jim the Dandiest, I figgered it out! Now to figure out how to make text act normal in the regular text editor.

Andersp: Of course, the Globs frequent this board. But, we are, so far, self-policing. We have added 2 moderators so that we have better coverage. I am looking to add a couple more in different time zones to increase our chances of catching offensive videos. There are a lot of good people who come here to post. I honestly do not expect a problem.
Please, however, feel free to message me, or any of the other moderators if you see something that offends you.
Please also note. There will be no warnings given to abusers. If you post an offensive You Tube Video you will not only be banned from the board but your public board posting privelages will be revoked. (permananetly) Everyone should have enough common sense to know not to post anything offensive. IF you do you suffer the consequences.
You Tube recommends kids under 13 to NOT visit their website
;;;;;; If you are under 13 years of age, then please do not use the YouTube Website—there are lots of other great web sites for you. Talk to your parents about what sites are appropriate for you......
we have a lot of players who are under 13 as far as i know

I don't see where it says kids under 13 shouldn't be there. At http://www.youtube.com/t/community_guidelines it says, "Also, be advised that we work closely with law enforcement and we report child exploitation."
So, if they are reporting child exploitation if and when it occurs, that would indicate logically that they allow children to make videos. Otherwise, they wouldn't be making that statement.
I found the part quoted earlier. You have to go to the TOS page which is linked within links LOL. If I, a 33 year old, is having trouble navigating to that area, I don't think a 8 or 9 old is going to consider reading the TOS or know where it's at.
The language is legally crafted rather vaguely. It's under a header "9. Ability to Accept Terms of Service", which brings the question if children aren't able to accept the terms, are they required to know they aren't able to accept the terms? If you get past that puzzle, you see they mention 18 years, and then say it's not "intended" for people under 13. What the heck does that mean? What happened to the 5 years in between?
They could have easily stated, "children under 13" are not allowed. However, they didn't. Furthermore, they request, "please", that the children go to another site. They don't come straight out and say, "children are not allowed".
