TexasToest: I think I got that movie out of my system after about the 20th midnite show, but I do enjoy the music and opening.I caught Meatloaf here about two months ago.He is wise to have a top notch band, because he has a very tough time reaching the notes these days.At times you could feel the whole audience straining with him as he tried to climb the range.
Jim Dandy: It is great seeing reactions from people who have seen RHPshow for the first time. lol Specially after going to a midnite showing full with TP, and toast! LOL
I had the pleasure of seeing this tour prior to the band imploding. This is the only video I could find of my favorite song of theirs.I 'm not intending to bring politics to this board, and my position will remain a private matter.

Jules: Outstanding - thank you for posting. Please note I have modified your post. The only modification I have made is adding a + sign at the bottom corner of the message box.
Jim Dandy: Outrageous! I love it. The School's Out was shocking to me at first, but I got over it.
Rock 'n Roll was born today in 1954, if you don't count all the blues, and gospel, and soul that came before as its base. Elvis Presley recorded "That's All Right (Mama) * and "Blue Moon Of Kentucky " at Sun Studios in Memphis TN. The record was released on July 19th, 1954.
And, Robbie Robertson of The Band fame is 64 today. Think he'll retire? I doubt it...I hope not! His Ghost Dance is posted for my Native American friend.
I've just made a discovery that has, as they say, rocked my world: Regina Spektor.
+ Us
They made a statue of us And it put it on a mountaintop Now tourists come and stare at us Blow bubbles with their gum Take photographs have fun, have fun
They'll name a city after us And later say it's all our fault Then they'll give us a talking to Then they'll give us a talking to Because they've got years of experience
We're living in a den of thieves Rummaging for answers in the pages We're living in a den of thieves And it's contagious And it's contagious And it's contagious And it's contagious
We wear our scarves just like a noose But not 'cause we want eternal sleep And though our parts are slightly used New ones are slave labor you can keep
We're living in a den of thieves Rummaging for answers in the pages We're living in a den of thieves And it's contagious And it's contagious And it's contagious And it's contagious
They made a statue of us They made a statue of us The tourists come and stare at us The sculptor's mama sends regards They made a statue of us They made a statue of us Our noses have begun to rust We're living in a den of thieves Rummaging for answers in the pages Were living in a den of thieves
And it's contagious And it's contagious And it's contagious And it's contagious And it's contagious And it's contagious And it's contagious And it's contagious

Jim Dandy: I remember Alice Cooper doing that lol! Anyone like musicals? This is my favourite and holds special memories for me. Michael Crawford plays the Phantom. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxXPDvs4pDY
TexasToest: HATS OFF AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ROBBIE ROBERTSON!! AND ALL HAIL THE ONE AND ONLY KING OF ROCK N' ROLL - ELVIS PRESLEY!! WAS THERE EVER ANYTHING "THE KING" COULDN'T SING? NOPE!! HE IS, AND WAS, THE ONLY TRUE AND IMMORTAL "AMERICAN IDOL" THERE WILL EVER BE! WE MISS YOU ELVIS.... BUT YOUR MUSIC WILL LIVE ON F-O-R-E-V-E-R! THANK GOD FOR THAT TOO!!
Jim Dandy: UNFORTUNATELY I AM ON WEBTV AND CANNOT DOWNLOAD YOU TUBE VIDEOS. I'M SURE IT IS VERY GOOD THOUGH. I HAVE SOME OF ROBBIE'S MUSIC ON CD AND CASSETTE TAPE.
Jim Dandy: THERE ARE MANY GOOD NATIVE AMERICAN ARTISTS OUT THERE, JIM! ONE OF MY FAVORITES, AND A MEMBER OF THE ONEIDA IROQUOIS, IS JOANNE SHENANDOAH. SHE HAS A REMARKABLE VOICE.... HAUNTING AND SPIRITUAL. IF YOU HAVE NOT HEARD HER MUSIC THEN YOU ARE MISSING SOMETHING REALLY SPECIAL. DO CHECK HER OUT WHEN YOU HAVE THE TIME; IT WILL NOT BE WASTED TIME I ASSURE YOU.
Mousetrap: THEY HAVEN'T HAD AN "UPGRADE" FOR WEBTV IN NEARLY 3 YEARS NOW! LET'S FACE IT... BILL GATES ONLY BOUGHT OUT THE ORIGINAL WEBTV SO HE COULD MONOPOLIZE IT AND PUT IT OUT OF BUSINESS. AND SINCE THE ANALOG TV SIGNAL WILL BE GOING OFF THE FREE AIRWAVES IN THE NEAR FUTURE THERE IS NO REASON FOR MSN TO BOTHER DOING AN UPGRADE FOR US WEBBIES NOW. WEBTV IS FAST HEADED TO THE INTERNET GRAVEYARD! SURE WOULDN'T HOLD MY BREATH LOOKING FOR THEM TO MAXIMIZE THE BROWSER AT THIS LATE DATE IN THE GAME. 8^(
YOU'RE WELCOME, JIM! I KNEW YOU WOULD FIND JOANNE SHENANDOAH A WORTHY FIND! 8^)
THANKS FOR THE LINK TO SUSAN AGLUKARK'S BIO. I WILL CHECK IT OUT! FROM A QUICK SKIM OF THE ARTICLE IT APPEARS SHE HAS QUITE A STORY TO TELL. THANKS FOR SHARING! BTW... SINCE I MAY HAVE ACCESS TO A COMPUTER OVER THE COMING WEEKEND WOULD YOU PLEASE POST THE YOU TUBE LINK FOR SUSAN'S VIDEO ANYWAY? I MIGHT GET A CHANCE TO SEE IT, AND THERE ARE OTHERS HERE WHO MIGHT ALSO LIKE TO SEE IT TOO! THANKS VERY MUCH!!
FOR THOSE OF YOU INTERESTED IN BOOKS WITH NATIVE AMERICAN THEMES AND NATIVE STORY-TELLING I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BOOKS OF JOSEPH BRUCHAC. HIS STORIES ARE FAMILY ORIENTED AND APPEAL TO CHILDREN AND ADULTS ALIKE. IF YOU HAVE A CHANCE CHECK THEM OUT. SOME OF HIS STORIES ARE FOUND ON AUDIO RECORDINGS AS WELL. HE'S ONE OF MY PERSONAL FAVORITES.
Mousetrap: I'M CERTAINLY NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO THE FULL SWING PUSH TO THE DIGITAL TV FORMAT EITHER! FOR ONE, I CANNOT AFFORD A DIGITAL TV NOR CAN I AFFORD THE SPECIAL CONVERTOR BOX THE GOVT. IS GOING TO FORCE THOSE OF US STILL ON THE "OLD FASHIONED" TV'S TO BUY IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE NEW "P-A-Y" TV SIGNAL. IT'S CRIMINAL THAT THE GOVT. IS ALLOWING THE SATELLITE AND CABLE COMPANIES TO STEAL OUR FREE PUBLIC TELEVISION SIGNAL AND HOLD US OLD FOLKS HOSTAGE LIKE THIS!! THE ANALOG SIGNAL HAD BEEN EARMARKED FOR "REMOVAL" THIS YEAR BUT THERE ARE STILL TOO MANY OF US ANALOG TV USERS STILL NOT ON SATELLITE OR CABLE TV SERVICE, SO THEY EXTENDED THE DATE TO 2008 OR EARLY 2009. THE IDEA IS TO MAKE US ALL CONVERT TO THE DIGITAL SIGNAL AND MAKE US ALL PAY FOR TV SERVICE! THE REALITY THOUGH IS WE CANNOT ALL AFFORD TO PAY FOR TV! MANY SENIORS LIKE MYSELF ARE ON FIXED INCOMES AND LIVE WELL BELOW THE FEDERAL POVERTY LEVEL. IT IS GROSSLY UNFAIR TO PUT THE BURDEN OF PAYING FOR BASIC TELEVISION RECEPTION ON US FOR THE PROFIT OF THE GREEDY MEDIA INDUSTRY PUSHING TO HIJACK THE ANALOG SIGNAL AIR WAVES THAT ARE PUBLIC DOMAIN AND FREE FOR PUBLIC USE!! TECHNOLOGY IS MERELY A CONVENIENT TOOL; HOW WE CHOOSE TO USE OR EXPLOIT IT IS WHAT MAKES IT A "GOOD" TOOL OR A "BAD" TOOL.... NEED I SAY MORE?!
