I'm quite sure a Rush song (Bastille Day maybe?)was here before, but not anymore. Also a System of a Down song was removed a while ago. Both were great songs! And i'm quite sure that has happened before also.. Whats going on?
puupia: I removed those two,(though I did have another removed somehow a few weeks back)I try to edit once in awhile to not spam the board with my posts. This tune is seasonal, for all the little kiddies
Patrizia sound a little bit like some of Nightwishes earlier work. Never heard of her before, she must be a newcomer in the business?
It would be too easy to post a NW song as a follow up to that. So instead here is a song from Tarot. Marco Hietala is the singer and bass player and also a founding member. And he has written most of Tarot songs.
And if someone did not know, Marco is the bass player in Nightwish also. He started with Tarot in early 80's and he joined NW in 2002. He has said many time that "i just play bass in Nightwish, Tarot really is my band".
Stone is maybe the best Finnish band ever. Too bad i never saw them in their prime in the late 80's. Since their breakup, members of the band have played or still play in many great bands, including Children of Bodom, Amorphis, Suburban Tribe and Waltari. They have reunited for a few shows in recent years, i saw them in 2008 and it was pure ecstacy.
Thumbs up to Rammstein for pushing boundaries in music videos! Not a easy thing to do in year 2009. Sure it won't be seen in most music channels, but they'll surely still get lots of attention with this one.
Very well done video. But I didn't like the song too much. And they really have to stop singing in english, it sounds horrible.
I'm not posting a link, it may not be appropriate for this forum. Google it up or ask me in private.
Jim Dandy:I watched the Detroit-Toronto game on CBC here in Michigan's U.P. and he was very good in net. he may be the starter in Toronto this season. he stopped a 2 on 0 rush. Could be a surprise goalie this season.
Brian1971: We Leaf fans tend to jump on the bandwagon at the first sign of a pulse, but the 2 on nothing save gave me goose bumps,he hasn't allowed a goal in 5 periods, even though the Wings started alot of guys who won't make the team, hope springs eternal
Horrible news. It seems like i saw the last gig Mike Alexander ever played last sunday. Evile played great and Mike was as energetic as ever. I really enjoyed the show, too bad there were only a handful of others that were really into Evile, rest just seemed to be waiting for Amon Amarth. I never could have guessed that few days later i'm reading news about Mike passing away. Life just is not fair, at 32 he was way too young to go.
Here's a statement from Eviles website:
Michael Alexander - 22.06.77 - 05.10.09
Sadly, just a few days into their European tour with Amon Amarth, Evile's Mike Alexander was suddenly taken ill and rushed to hospital, but tragically passed away in Lulea, Sweden.
Evile members Matt Drake, Ol Drake and Ben Carter have released the following statement:
"This is so hard to find the words to express fully how we feel. We can't believe or accept what's happened. One minute we're talking to our buddy, Mike, the next minute we can never speak to him again.
There's so many things rushing through our heads that we want to say, do and feel. We half expect him to come round the corner and call us 'dickheads'. We can't get our heads around it.
It upsets us so much that he was away from his family when this happened, although knowing Mike, we're at least glad he was on tour doing what he loves.
We're lost for words. We all miss him so much already. He was such a headstrong, genuinely nice guy who loved music and his family. We've got so many brilliant memories with him.
Our hearts go out to his daughter, family and friends at this tragic, difficult time.
Jim Dandy: Kool! Those were the days! What,s happenin with this site? I have actually been able to view a couple o videos first time in months without having to wait hours for them to buffer?
Jim Dandy: Grreat cover! I really like to hear songs covered in a totally different genre. The whole "In a Metal Mood" cd from Pat Boone is full of quite unusual covers including stairway to heaven, enter sandman, smoke on the water and other metal classics. Really fun record to listen to once in a while. But maybe Holy Diver is the best cover of them.
As far as crazy coverbands go, Hayseed Dixie is one of my favorites. They have done a whole lot of rock and metal songs in bluegrassish style. Including songs from AC/DC, Kiss, Queen and even Beatles. Here they play a Motörhead song, Ace of Spades. Great fun.
Jim Dandy: I have them too. And all the others also, with the exception of their latest album. That one has no covers, only original songs by Hayseed Dixie. I think thats a bad move from a band which is mostly known for doing great coversongs :)
