Stevie: I know its frustrating. But There will always be at least one person fall in every round. It is going to be a long frustrating game no matter. There will probably be more people become pawns before this game finishes, and the same thing will happen all over again anyway. For all we know, Grenv could bet one every round and win, there will likely always be suicide moves. Plus later in the game, people will start to run out of points to play, and there will be plenty more chances to bid low too.
Did they stop allowing pawns to play in the ponds games?? I am curious due to a friend of mine was going to join in one I started and he is saying he is not able to join it.. he has no other tourneys going either..
Pawns could never join ponds - some pawns are in tournaments now since their membership ran out after they were in, but they are unable to actually move in those ponds.
I think players whose membership expire should be able to finish out their existing pond games. The way it is now, they are just clogging up our games and removing most of the fun.
i think that if membership expires during a pond game, the nascent pawns should sluice into a new pond called the cesspool. It would be an extremely frustrating version of pond designed to take half a year or more to complete with 7 days per move. However, the winner, for resilience and fortitude, would be offered a knight membership equal to the amount of days they spent in the cesspool. What do you think, Fencer, is that a great marketing tool or what?
Czuch Chuckers: Yes, but wouldn't it solve all the problems, if it was the same for every round, with players who suicide with a "0" bet when they dont want to play anymore.
I agree with Thad. I think it would solve a lot of problems if pawns were allowed to finish ponds they were currently in.. Just like it is done with tournaments etc.. already..

Stevie: Thats weird. I checked all the other running games and none of them are longer than they are meant to be.... OH FENCER!
Bry, if it is not supposed to be described as a prize game without Fencer already having the money or being assured of the prize in advance, as far as I remmber.
件名: Re: um look at days per move and days left??? and it was couple of days ago..the first move
Czuch Chuckers and Stevie: I have realized that I had explained the rules of this pond wrong. I had to ask Fencer to add some days to make sure that everyone gets the message about that before the round is closed. Now I think it´s ok, so I asked Fencer to "start" another round ...
件名: Re: um look at days per move and days left??? and it was couple of days ago..the first move
Czuch Chuckers: It would depend on what prize was being offered????
I have had 3 or 4 prize ponds with 4 prizes, they had nothing to do with Fencer, I paid for the prizes and postage to Texas Toest, Mike UK,Maxxina, and Sinay...there was a bonus prize sent to Arctic Warrior because he fell in the first round.
At this stage Texas Toest has hers....Im waiting to get confirmation from the others :)
BIG BAD WOLF: i also like the idea of ponds going into the next round as soon as every player has submitted their move.
its just like with all other games on here. if you only come online once a day on a fixed time like in bbws example .. then you will not have any games running with 1 day per move .. so you shouldnt have any ponds running with 1 day per move either
only join ponds with 2 or more days per move and you will be fine.
Hrqls: Perhaps such a set up could be made an option for the Pond creator? Sooner or later there's going to be option for the starting points and bonus. Seems like having an option to start the round when all have bid would be another one. I recommend having it so that it goes the whole time limit unless every person enters a bid. That way someone that misses getting to the computer that day will have the most time to log in and will still get their last bid to play if they don't make it on time.
Let me invite you to a slightly different pond than usual The player with the highest bet and the player with the lowest bet is eliminated in every round (except the 1st) - see rules ...
Pedro Martínez: Wow - Looks like it might be the first pond with no winner! (If the last bids are the same, everyone falls into the pond and there is no winner!)
... at least I would think both of you would bid the max, but I have seen stranger things.
It'd be nice if there was a previous move button for Run around the Pond games like there is for every other game on this site.
I'd like to check out how that game you just posted about ended with both players bidding 714 and falling in at the same time. The rounds just before it must've been unusual.
Pedro Martínez: A wild finish. Just looking at how the numbers add and subtract must have made for a lot of thinking about what to bet on that turn. Had you gone with 510, you would've won assuming lukulus stayed with betting your amount. He must've figured you'd bet 1225 and was going to watch you fall into the Pond when you guys tied for high bet and no one got the bonus. Lots of bluff here. If he thought you'd bet 511 or less he could've taken it all with 600.
Walter Montego: Yup, for me there were two options: bet low or bet high...I assumed lukulus would think I would bet everything and bet 1226 (I didn't actually realize that in this case, 1225 would be as good as 1226) + I wanted to bet as high as possible just for the case he would bet low. That's why I went for 511.
Arctic Warrior: another suspicious bet, some people somehow knew that Ryan From Ohio would not be updating his bet the last couple of days and bet only 1 higher than him
OK: Let us say there is a pond with one day time limit. The moves should be made, say, at 3am today. Now when you go to somebody's profile shortly before the deadline and see that the last time this person was at BK was BEFORE 3am yesterday, you can set your bet to this person's last bet +1 and be sure you won't fall in the pond.
