alanback: Yes, I'm aware this is in use elsewhere, but their game repertuaire is.... limited :D. Very. I'd probably be playing at DGS (didn't have this feature when I last played there), but I wanna play other games then Go also. Brainking just has best features and game repertuaire, and this I think would be a great addition.

seku:  Try Dailygammon.  "Computer guessing" has been working there for years.  You can make up to 10 moves in a row based upon computer predictions of what your opponent will do.  If the computer guesses wrong, the game is rolled back to that move and guessing resumes from that point.  Your opponent cannot see your move unless he makes the predicted move himself.

Onderwerp: Predicting opponent moves
I wanna suggest a feature, where players could predict their opponent moves, and pre-set a response for moves... or even sequences. This would make the games more interesting, as it would lessen the need to make "obvious" moves or forced responses... The games when you log in, are in state where you can really make decisions as how to proceed.

Andersp: the amount of snoopy's games is a left over from going for the top spot in 'moves per day'

its an insane race ... and this is the left over .. the number of finished games is just a side effect .. its an awkward list at all as someone who is here longer will have more games finished (on average)

i might feel sorry for the opponents though as they might want to play a nice game and now have a win by timeout

66% is a great target .. mine as well .. was there .. not anymore though i think

my 2 important lists from the statistics are win/loss ratio (66.6666% is the goal :)) and average bkr (2000 was the goal, now it is 1900 for more games :))

coan.net: I agree with you completely here... I am much more impressed by those who have a high winning percentage before someone who has 1,000 wins, but 3,000 loses... or even if they are even... :-)

BTW, BBW; 66% s good target, there are not very many that are able to maintain that, so good luck!

Andersp: Well with that, that will give them more loses then wins. I know myself, I'm always more impressed by people who have more wins then loses. I myself am shooting for a 66.6% win rate (win 2 out of every 3 games) - I'm currently at around 63% right now.

That is Statistics are just that - stats. Nothing to put too much stock into in my opinion.

I have 11 time out messages in my inbox from 5 different opponents in the space of 2 minutes about 06.10

(EDIT)

Maybe not, one was here today, but the others have not been on in a while

danheg: That wasn't a silly question, I think that Atomic and Extinction Chess are usually implemented in a way that you can't castle under or through check.

Nevertheless, the rules are much simpler to state when saying "no check or checkmate", hence probably the version that we are playing here (which does hurt my eye a little, but that is no big deal IMHO).

I am currently playing an atomic chess game with cd power and put him in check with my knight.  He then CASTLES.  I thought castling while in check is illegal according to the rules of chess.  Is this a bug in the atomic chess program?

I've tried to find it using the search function on this board, but was unsuccessful...
I somehow messed up the way the games appear on my game list. I want the first games on the list to be the ones with the least time left. I think I may have clicked on the "games" title, with the little green arrow next to it, by accident. When I clicked it on again, it didn't correct the problem. I went to "settings" and changed the choice from ascending to descending and back again, and again clicking on the "games" title on the game list. Nothing seems to work the way I hoped... can someone help me please? Thanks!

We can not add them to Stairs already created for some reason, and when we do create them what games do we include, but i guess thats our choice, will be hard actually to please everyone. I think by Random section will be best.

MadMonkey: You can already create RandomStairs. Just go to your random Team and click the Create new Stairs link.

Fencer: I was wondering - on already existing Stairs I can add games that aren't in those Stairs yet. I can't, however, add a RandomGame to an existing Stairs. Is this intentional or you just forgot?

Fencer: Are you going to set Random Stairs for the site ?

Just if you do i want to see how you are going to go about it so i can copy in the Madhouse (like to keep things the same)

I know we can choose how to set them, either by including all games, some of them, or maybe even by setting Random sections (Gammons, Chess etc...).
Be interesting to see how you do it (if you do)

My video card on my computer went out lsat weekend, and I've pressed an old Win98 computer with 56k RAM into service.  It's definitely NOT cutting edge, I don't think it's cutting anything except the ch......never mind.  My machine sits in the corner waiting for my next check to come.  I had been to my profile untold number of times this week looking for that link.  It was NOT there.

When you wrote that the change password WAS still there, I was going to copy and paste the top of my profile page to paste in here and show you what was on the top of the page., Low and behold, it was there, but it was in camouflage. white on white.  When I highlighted it, it showed up.  Thanks rod, I learn something every day.
