Mélusine:I use the BK app on android all the time. It's not very good, but I use it because it's fast. I can go on and on about the problems, but I guess the pros out way the cons for me because I still use it. It's good for the gammon games (except using the doubling cube). Some chess games are good, except problems occur in most variants (try scoring a pawn).
Anyway, I play my gammon moves thru the app and then log in once in a while using the Web for my other games. You also can't see messages using the app which kind of sucks but....I still use it.
In response to vacation days, according to the vacation day policy under the paid membership page, rooks receive 35 a year... If you renew for another year or longer with in that year, you get 10 bonus days the first time and 5 the second time... After that, no more bonus days for that year
thanks everybody...I am getting sick of being on tournaments that go on for months...Those particular ones seem to so I will not be joining anymore of those...i will just stick with Flame Pit Tournaments.
happyjuggler0: The first time you buy a yearly membership you get 10 bonus vacation days, EVEN if you're already a rook, though you can never have more than the original 35. That can happen only once a year, as far as I know.
crosseyed: Actually I am not sure that even buying a membership will help. He is a brain rook which meant he already blew through his entire vacation days for the year since Jan 1 already. It is my understanding he won't get any more vacation days even if he buys a membership; he would have to wait until Jan 1 rolls around again to get new vacation days.
If his member ship had been a knight and then he had bought a rook then I think he would get more vacation days.
Bernice: His "weekend" days are Friday and Saturday, so he will start timing out at midnight server time, which is in close to 4 hours from now as I write this.
All of this is assuming he doesn't log in and start making moves before he times out of course....
furbster: Yep, I select them, one, two, all, but a roll doesn't occur. That's the first time I have such problem, it could be as well something wrong with my phone.
Guys, I want to ask if someone have problem with the dice poker game? Or is just me perhaps, but the dice doesn't roll at all, the rolls count remains 2, I've been trying for few days now :x
MrDelete: It doesn't matter if it is Friday morning where your opponent is. What matters is that it Friday morning according the BrainKing time...which as it happens is also where your opponent is.
Perhaps you understood that point, perhaps not. If you are in the US and you have Fridays and Saturdays off, and it is Thursday in the US, and you run out of time on your clock, you *will* be timed out even though it is Thursday here in the US.
The rule for when your weekend day starts is BK time, or server time. If you are unsure of the time zone conversions, just log out and look at the clock on the upper right and it will tell you what day it is and what time it is in server time.
Why does a game not time out when all vacation days are used up,the game timed out at 11 minutes after 7 and it is now 11 minutes after 10 and has not timed out !
Mélusine: Most chess, checkers and gammon type games work fine (except for loop chess, where you can't reuse captured pieces because you can't see them, and maybe Xiangqi and Shogi, not sure).
Most other games don't work, but as stated, any phone browser should work fine.
Mélusine: the brainking app for android doesnt support all game types as far as i remember .. you can play some games with it, and that works quite well
for the other games o0n brainking you have to use your phone browser, which works ok as well
Does someone play with the application Brainking on Android ? I don't find it on Apple. Is it better ? Do you find the same games ? Question to Fencer : Will the application replace this site in the future ?

Carnie: Congratulations, but your opponent could have tried something like 171.- K4b3 winning after 172. Kc1 with any king to c2 or after 172. Ka1 with any king to b2 ;-)
The good side/ is you can play at bugcafe for cheap. Try a month for just 5 USA dollars, 3 months for 10.50 or upto a year for $30. That is cheaper than brainking.
furbster: How old is that picture of himself that he uses on the site? I don't think it has ever changed since I have been on here. You're only allowed to use old pictures of oneself on a dating profile. Everywhere else must be recent. lol :P

Already posted on the interview page, but it case people don't see it there this may be of interest. Fencer agreed to be interviewed again, but the system doesn't allow the same person to be interviewed twice so the username Filip was created. http://brainking.com/en/Interviews
