I would think that all go for the gold, go for the wins, and do not care to loose the record we have set in the files or ourselves.... but for the price we pay to play, we must now just accept the lost games as practice ones, and enjoyable at that.... (NOTICE)4/11/03 Because of all the site problems i have decided to cancel this tournament with immediate effect. If players wish to continue with the tournament then please feel free but please be aware that NO PRIZE will now be offered since i intend to re-run the whole tournament at a later date when all the site faults are corrected. Sorry for the disappointment that this may cause.!

I have done this because of the difficulties that may arise from having moves "Rolled back" to the the earlier date with a good example being possible different results than they where originally.!

I will not be deleting the tournament, so please feel free to continue if you so wish.

As soon as Fencer logs back in your upgrade will be a done deal mrloupcity. The list of sponsers and those to be sponsered all got lost in the crash and I'm trying to reconstitute it. It's a big job because I can't get hold of everybody and can't tell what payments have been sent in and which haven't. Working on it though.

I'm not mad. If u read my first note i said the games was just like spilled milk and water over the dam. All I have been asking if someone on the 1st paid a membership canit and will it be found.
harley as to asking Chief KM, I was hoping that they may read my question or the person that sponsor a pawn may also read it here. But guess this is not the place to bring it up. I didn't know IYT had a rating system at all. When I asked them about it, they said to go to my profile and put anything in there I wanted to. Since it was meaningless, I didn't bother. Besides, I'd have to consult with somebody to figure out what to put.

mrloupcity, wait! Don't go away angry. I don't know if you haven't gotten an answer out of neglect, or if no one knows. Maybe you could PM the big boss of the fellowship that was sponsoring you, and ask them? Was that BBW? He could even be checking into it for you. It would be a pity if you went away mad, and it wasn't necessary.

Now, has anyone actually played in IYT today? EVERY play, I get an error. They say they know about it, and it will be fixed in a few days. But, it seems that no one is exempt from problems.

i'd just like to know why there is a rating system at all...!!??....apparently nobody takes much intrest in it....IYT has a % type rating and it seems to work there....if everybody is so casual about how the ratings can just wipe away 2 months of rating points why not the entire amount....go to something different....what a good time to do that....make it interesting again...maybe think up something all together new....

juls31, click on 'Player List' in the menu and type their name in. It will come up and you can click on their names for their profiles and invite them again.

3 days ago my backgammon rating was 2156 - now it's 1648.

Oh dear, what a shame, never mind! It's only a game. It'll be fun trying to reach 2156 again!

i seem to have games from last week but i also have games that were backed up the last time this happened...i have a tank game that is backed up farther than it was the last time this happened on a sunday and monday a few months ago...why is that game on my game sheet again...this is the 3rd try this guy has of winning this game..!!!

LOL well you know, we all lost games. Some take it harder than others depending one how you see the games and how serious a player you are. Obviously many are going to be upset, and many more will take it in their stride and carry on.

whatever happens to the ratings some people wont be happy (me included with some games ) , steve make that 8% lolol

why is there ratings here...this would be a good time to go to a percentage type rating....it seems this is going to happen time and time again so why have a rating system like the one that's in place here...it's not accurate anymore....why not just get rid of something that's not working...that would solve alot of the arguments here

People people people . sometimes problems happend , sometimes big problem happend . It happend now. Couple of games was lost , and whats up . Everybody survived , only ego of some people was shot down , because he lost a points . I lost a points too. But i will take me Bkr back in honest fight and show to world im still good . Made it as me :)

What I find disappointing is the lack of understanding. The first players back on here were fantastic about the situation. Rolled their sleeves up and got stuck into sorting things out. If only everyone was so resilient.

This is absolutely disappointing. As someone who has managed backup and restore operations for a small company, I would be fired immediately if I lost 6 weeks worth of data. I understand you might not have the financial resources to fix what has broken and that is disappointing as well.
I don't want to get in a fight with anyone, so I will just go ahead and fire brainking.com.

I don't want to start another argument so I'll say it shortly:

1) It's everyone's right to stop playing here and it is not necessary to announce it at discussion boards.
2) When you make large enterprise applications, you usually don't do it alone and as a side project.
3) I never criticize someone else's work unless I know as much background information as possible. Especially when the work covers more jobs than a mere programming.

Just wait for Brainking being my full-time job, then you can judge me.
