rod03801: when I created it i scrolled to the bottom and there wan no games to check or anything thats why i didnt check anything and i have tryed to delete the tournie and it wont let me but in the describtion I have typed in backgammon ,hypergammon so i dont know what else to do
When creating the tournament, if you choose "Random Game" you have to scroll further down and select the games that the random games are chosen from. (Unless you change the drop down to All games?, I think. Then it is a game randomly chosen from All.) Sorry, it's been a while since I've done it.
When I originally created it, it was meant to be for 5 players per team, but got setup with 8.
I have now fixed it - and will have the 1 team who already joined resubmit with just 5 players so we can make sure the tournament can get started, as I agree - don't think we would be able to get at least 4 fellowships with 8 clonning backgammon players.
I think that if further team tournaments are created, then we need to reduce the number of players required. 8 players per team for Cloning Gammon will never happen. 6 would be difficult, 5 is more doable for Fellowships.
francescolr: Someone must shut the mouth forever ! Great that the tournament started .. lol .. Sign for the other tournaments ! They all will start as soon 4 people sign :) http://brainking.com/it/Tournaments
5 Brains to sign and winner takes all ! SIngle elimination/ludo and this one started too yeah :)
crosseyed: i think you got the concept wrong. The creator of the tournament doesn’t get the entry fee, he has no advantage from creating the tournament. The Tournament itself collects the entry fees, and when it gets cancelled, they get returned to everybody. That has worked automatically for years, and never was an issue. So it doesn’t matter at all who leaves and when.

What happens if someone sets up lots of tournaments with an entry fee (brains) in a Fellowship and then leaves the Fellowship? Will the creator still be liable to refund the entry if the tournament does not start? Or will the Big Boss be responsible to refund the entry fee? As only one player has signed up it is enviable that those tournaments will never start.

long: That is good to know that the entry fee was refunded. I think there will be lots more tournaments that will not be started and I hope then the entry fee will be refunded. Something should be done to stop creating so many tournaments that will never start. It is making a mockery of the joy of signing up for tournaments.
Carnie: on first glance, it looks like a funny idea, but consider that: In the final game, both players will of course immediately resign; so it’s purely random whoever gets the first move = first chance to resign.
