LuckyCat9: I wouldn't say that the callers are "weirdos" per say, just ordinary people who have witnessed 1st hand & decide to call in. Believe me, I would call in myself. I do believe in UFO's, aliens, ghosts & everything else. Art Bell hasn't left the program, he cut his worktime down (somewhat retiring) to spend time w/ his family an such. He still does at least 2 Sunday's per month

The other day, they had this journalist as a guest, named Peter Lance, he just came out with a new book about 9/11...

It's really cool when they open the phone lines so that all the weirdos can call in and talk about anything from ufos to goat people! lol

Emne: new TV shows
I made 2 mistakes last year - I got "hooked" on the TV shows Lost & the 4400. Both that I started watching 1/2 way through the season, so ended up catching up during the reruns.

So I figured I would check out some of the new show and if they are good - I will make it a habit to watch them all.

Just got done watching the first show:

Supernatural - on WB - Don't think I've really ever watched anything on WB, but this one actually looks good - and the first episose was very good in my opinion. (Repeat on Thursday) - Anyway, I give this show a thumbs up.

Most shows don't start until next week. Wednesdays looks the busiest - Lost & invastion, along with Head Cases - and can't forget Ghost Hunters on SciFi, and when Mythbusters start new shows - Ugh. I can currently DVR 2 shows at a time - will be fun when 3 are on that I want to watch.

I'm not normally keen on subtitles either, but honestly almost from the start you're so into the film you don't even notice. They may as well be speaking English. Its very, very moving. Theres not many films I think about for a long time after but that was one, and I'll be watching it again soon.

nobleheart: This is what I came up with:

Foghorn Leghorn is a large animated rooster appearing in numerous Warner Brothers cartoons. He first appeared in 1946 in a Henery Hawk film entitled Walky Talky Hawky. Foghorn Leghorn is considered a significant Looney Tunes character, whose sidekick/nemesis was The Barnyard Dog. Many of the gags involved Leghorn and the dog trying to outdo and punish each other.

His voice was created by actor Mel Blanc, heavily patterned after the character of Senator Claghorn, a blustering southern politician who was a regular character on the Fred Allen radio show. Senator Claghorn was created and voiced by radio comedian Kenny Delmar. Foghorn Leghorn used a number of Claghorn's catch phrases, like "That's a joke... I say, that's a joke, son". The references to Senator Claghorn were obvious to much of the audience when the Foghorn Leghorn cartoons first premiered, but like many of the references in WB cartoons of the era, they have since become dated and "go over the heads" of most modern-day audiences.

A leghorn is a breed of chicken, and foghorn describes the character's loud, overbearing voice. At its most raucous, it sounds similar to Blanc's Yosemite Sam.

Emne: a question for the movie nutz
I heard the cartoon character "foghorn leghorn" was based on a not well known contemporary of W.C.fields who made one movie.
does anyone know who this is & what the movie's name was?
