I was just playing around. In a way, we do have auto pass....we just have to do it manually. ;)

doesnt 'auto' mean 'self' .. we have to do it ourselves

Any more posts on auto pass will be deleted. Fencer has given his answer, that should be enough.

Does anyone know where one can download free photos and/or artwork suitable in size for use in fellowships?

Bad Bishop: Both! I'm not sure what size the fellowships require and the name of the fellowship is "Art of War" so I'm looking for something that fits.

I'd suggest a google search for pictures. Edit then what you'll find to the suitable size and don't care about any copyrights. I mean, who cares about fellowships icon on BK? :-)

I have found pictures I like but they are too big. Can someone tell me how to resize them and crop them a little if necessary?

Assunto: Re:
Ikkon: Just use an image editor. All of them have those functions (the resize results may vary depending on the quality of the editor). Photoshop and PaintShopPro are nice ones and I now that at least the later as a demo version workable for 30 days.

Or else just send me a PM asking for my mail and I can fix them for you tonight

The first one who will post here at
BrainKing.com discussion board and only here, the correct answers to the above 3 questions, will win a 6 Month Rook membership............

The 3 questions are here.

***If there are no answers or any correct one until the same day next week, there will be no winner.......
***In the extremely rare case when there will be 2 or more correct answers at the exactly same time, the winner will be the one whose post will appear first at the BrainKing.com discussion board.

Its a little bit off topic, but its a good contest! As long as it doesn't grow into a big discussion about the possible answers...
It may have been better held at a chess discussion board, but it will reach more people here.
I'll check with Fencer, but its ok for now.

#2 is 48, not 32. You can put two rows of knights right next to each other.

I can't think of a way to get more than that. And I don't have the Knights in any columns either. Am I missing something?

It's 40, put all your knights on white (or black) squares.

23. Janeiro 2005, 06:42:55
Walter Montego
Assunto: Re: I have 40 for an answer.
BerniceC: I did it as ughaibu did it. That's half the board of 80 squares. Thad says 32, but 40 greater than 32. I doubt if you can get more than 40 putting them in columns, or 32 for that matter. Putting them in islands might be worth trying, but I think just covering all the squares of one color is going to be tops, though I don't have a proof of it.

ArtfulDodger: I'm not sure what you mean by unban someone from a fellowship. You mean unban someone from a fellowship board. - You can hide/ban unhide/unban on a fellowship board without effecting the persons membership in the actual fellowship.

BerniceC: He might've posted 40 for answer 2 first, but he didn't solve the problem. I wonder why he even wasted his time if he's not goiing to try the Extinction Chess problem. You don't have to know how to play the game to work on the problem. But you would have to learn how it is played to solve it.
