whopper: I agree with this skepticism. When playing on a real board in person with someone one player goes clockwise and the other player goes counterclockwise. It is only with the computer do both people think they're going the same direction. Kind of like having the declaring hand in Bridge always played from the south seat in the newspaper, but that's not how it is in real games. I don't see any reason for not allowing the player pick the direction of travel for his pieces, but I also don't see why it would matter in the first place. It doesn't change the game, does it? Is there not a standardized direction of travel for the checkers? As in a book on Backgammon? Why not adopt that and have them go in that direction? Since the current way of notating the games is 1 to 24 instead by the table they're in, I would imagine that having the 6 to 1 inner table in the same place for both players would take care of it. If me, it's on the lower right and my pieces would go counterclockwise. If my opponent, it'd be on the upper left of my screen and my pieces would go clockwise toward the 19 to 24 inner table which would be on my side of the board in the lower left of the screen.
. . . If chickens can play tic-tac-toe and draw against humans, then i find it ridiculous if human brains complain about not being able to think things mirrored....

Anencephal: . . . And here in Greece where Backgammon is a little more inside our DNA compared to other countries we play both ways with no problems.... But clockwise or anti-clockwise? It doesn't matter. Human brain has he ability to adapt with no problems! You just have to try.....
pauloaguia: yes i understand this but on some other game sites you have the option of which way you want to travel round the board clock wise or anticlock wise
Eriisa: well unfortunatly i started playing gammon in the clockwise direction so was used to it till i started playing here and would love to be able to have that option for gammon games like on other sites any chance of this happening FENCER

I removed the center HTML-entity from my post but that doesn't solve the problem. I wonder what is wrong.... Later i will try to remove my message to see if this corrects the problem....
Radiant Aunt: Yes, i have to scroll from left to right to read the posts, i think it might have something to do with where Pythagoras was explaining about the HTML thingy and its just taken up alot of sapce in his message box, if that makes sense, i think, but not sure.
A82 Makes A82 2010 Makes 2010
<center> Center text</center>
[Edited to see if the center element creates the problem discussed above. That's why the text isn't at the center, because i removed the center entity.]
Third statement
(Not usefull since we can simply enter the numbers ourselves)
<font size="6">Sets font size = 6</font>
<font size="+4">Increases font size by 4</font>
<font size="-2">Decreases font size by 2</font>
<font color="Red">Set fond color to Red</font>
<font color="Blue">Set fond color to Blue</font>
<font color="#ad1af7">Set fond color to #ad12f7</font>
After # we can set 6 hexademical digits. Each digit is 0-9 or a,b,c,d,e,f. So valid colors are for example: #f1d11a , #111af0 ,#dde229 , #111111
<font color="#228b22" size="5">Set fond color to #228b22 AND set font size to 5</font>
<pre>

[Edited since pre causes some problems on the appearance of the page. So the text doesn't appear free-formatted as it should be if i actually use pre entity]

Fencer: Oh come on Fencer. Don't underestimate yourself. You can do anything. If my name is mixing things up, I'll turn it back to English for now. But remember, I'm always رضا not Reza.
I didnt take this to feature request because I didnt think it was a feature but a general request for the site.
When you havent been on in a few days and you have hundreds of RED numbers next to FB's and F/s"s it is just too much to read....can we have a drop down list of all FB's and F/s"s and click on each of them that we dont want to read and delete the whole thing...
For instance the PIT...is the same ole same ole every day withe the same ole same ole people saying the same ole same ole things HAHAHAHHA....
the Gen Chat is getting that way as well...bot of these with hundreds of messages and not one really worth reading....dont jump on me, but to read it all takes time and some of us(??) do have a life outside BK...it takes a while to load if there are hundreds of messages (when you are on dial up)...Fencer Please consider this SITE REQUEST?
pauloaguia: I'm sure that in the Farsi version of the site that "bug" won't be noticeable ;)
If you want to make a neat test, try writing a few characters using the latin alphabet, then paste some arabic ones and the another latins chars. Then move your cursor around and you'll see it gets all mixed up as well...
Rose: I believe the time out script only runs every 5-10 mintues or something like that, so as long as it is not on his turn when the time-out script runs, he can get away with it.
If a game has zero left left on the opponents clock why doesnt it time out? Is it because we keep playing back and forth even though is shows him with -0 time? http://brainking.com/en/ShowGame?g=1628155
