It is a great way to learn new games, also to be able to play games which you might not be too good at (and you don't have to worry about playing any of the "experts")

Before the tournament starts, I may remove users who are WAY over the 1500 BKR limit, so feel free to sign up for all you want!

This is known as THE INFERNO opening, a very difficult one which has only been recently approved by the ACF for the 3-Move Restriction Deck, after extensive testing via Mail-Play.

If there is any confusion remaining about which move or moves to make to begin your games (to ensure The Inferno is being played), please contact me or Nomad & we'll do our best to set you on the right track.

The tournament is also open for unrated players, so the "high rated" players in there now are probable playres who were unrated when the signed up, but now have a rating.

Before I start the tournament, I will go though each of the games and remove players that are WAY over the 1500 BKR limit. (Even though I may allow users who are now just a little over 1500 stay.)

BBW, I don't understand how some can sign up and others can't. In a few of them I got a message that I couldn't sign up because my rating was say 1510 or 1600, yet there are some members signed up in some of the games with much higher ratings (some over 1800).
Will these be allowed to stay? Just curious!!

That's why there will be no such button in BK 2.0 and all tournaments will be controlled automatically by a script.

I have already wrote to Fencer about the Spider Line4 tournament which is messed up. Also, the Five in line 4 tournament I recently started is also messed up. Fencer should be able to fix it the next time he is on-line! :-)

i was hoping maybe BBW can fix it, i just counted, i have 24 games. LOL.. i'll send him a msg to read this bd. thx. rod.

ImUpChucking, I think your best bet would be to click on one of the games to see when the first move was made... I think that is your only way, really..

Write to Fencer, Ellie... I just was put into a round 2 of a tournament where I lost in the first round... Fencer fixed it right away.

not only do i have too many games in the fast spider that just started, i'm even playing myself, and i wished myself Good Luck before i realized it was me. i think something is wrong.

Hey, just five more weeks until they start.
They're both opens, all are welcome. Both have some top rated players, it'll be a challenge and an oportunity.
In the first quarter Dark Chess. Tenuki and I have won section one, with section two up for grabs amongst three players.
The Extinction Chess first quarter has me eliminated with a three way tie for first place with two games being played.

The 4th Tournament for "Dummies" is set to start on June 1st.

OK, Tournament is not really for dummies - but for people who do not have a very high rating, and would like to play games with others of similar skill (Without having to worry about getting beat badly by game experts!)

Tournament: ALL GAMES - People rated 1500 or under.

Unrated Players: You are allowed to enter, and is a great way to learn a new game.

NOTE: Sometimes a person will enter unrated, and by the time the tournament starts, might have a rating higher then 1500. Before the tournament starts, I may remove players that are WAY over the 1500 limit. If someone has lets say 1525 or something, I may let them slip by.

ughaibu: There is a set number of slots required [5 for one-game tourneys, 10 for two-game ones] because there is no way how to determine exact number of required slots before the sections are created [because some players can be removed during this process].

i believe they need to have one more free space than what they need Ug, I am sure someone can help more than i can though :)

I don't think it's a good idea. (Even though I'm not best at the game), I know for myself, I will at times let myself be checked once or twice if I believe I can trap the other person to get 3 quick checks.

Winner of this Candidates Tournament will play a 3 point match against the "current" BK World Champion. The "current" BK World Champion will be determined by the highest established rating of all signed players at the start of the tournament and will be removed from the tournament to await the challenger. In the event of a tie in the final round the challenger will be the player with the highest rating at that time. But I think it takes a too long time,until the finale is completed.
A 2-wins match should be enough!
