Excuse me? I read it all very carefully. Have to, the way some people type.. I honestly don't understand what is so difficult about the signing up process. Very simple and straightforward procedure.
What is so difficult about signing up for a fellowship team??????? If you are on someone else's team, it clearly tells you which one you are on.
I don't understand what you are complaining about..
It doesn't bother you??? You have been whining about this sort of thing since you first logged on to this site. You have bullied many people on this issue.
You don't fool anyone. You are just finding another way to pick on this person.
Grow up, please.
Go to the Team Tournament link. Find the Reversi 6x6 tournament, and when you get there, it should give you the opportunity to sign your team up for the tournament.

I am curious about the First Team Tournament.
Section 2 appears to be a 4 way tie. Will all 4 teams move on to round 2? (Nothing has been "yellowed" like in regular tournaments, to indicate the winner of the section) Or is there another method to decide ties? (Like S-B in regular tournaments)
Sunfire definitely has a point, with his advice to not often re-use battleboats set ups.. It's a good tip for someone who may not have thought about it.
I do NOT however think it is "cheating".... I think many people learn good tactics in games by looking over completed games of top players in that particular game type..
ImUpChucking, I think your best bet would be to click on one of the games to see when the first move was made... I think that is your only way, really..
Arnie, it is not necessary to put this person's name in there like that. You can include anyone you want, but you don't need to be rude by letting the whole site know that a certain person isn't welcome in the tournament. I stand by my opinion that is very rude and bad for the site.
Personally, I think that every tournament that mentions another player in a negative/insulting way should be deleted. It doesn't look good for the site, and is extremely childish.
What about people who may want to put more than $5 up? I was thinking it might be interesting that if people wanted to do that, that maybe half of whatever they put up extra goes to the prize, and the other half to Fencer.. So if 10 people put up $10 instead, Fencer would get an extra 25, and the prize could go up 25?
Just a thought.. It's verrrry late and I think I'm half asleep..
:-)
That is the silliest thing I've ever heard Zuggie. You have whined about this before on another discussion board.
It's very paranoid of you.
If you truely believe that silliness, WHY bother playing here?
I'm not in that tourney (as I STINK at any form of chess), but I agree, that all prize tournaments should definitely be started over. Seems only fair. As far as regular tournaments? That should be at the discretion (ugh, I'm not sure I can spell today) of the creator..
Assunto: Re: Never-ending tourneys because of one player
I agree this can be frustrating.. but it isn't fair to be so upset with someone for that. The better solution would be to only join tournaments that have the time limit to your liking. This person probably signed up for a 7 day limit because he needs it. He is well within his rights to do this. If this angers you so much, you should sign up for tournaments with a 1 or 2 day time limit.
Just a friendly piece of advice. :-)
I am curious as to what #1 means??? What are some possible additional rules that could be added? I only ask, because this sounds like it could add some interesting aspects to some tourneys..
Though, it seems in all fairness, these additional rules should be known right up front, from the beginning. It doesn't seem like it would be fair to add additional rules in the middle of a tourney..
Just curious..
There wouldn't have been any "behind the scenes deals" going on. The person probably used his/her vacation days. All levels get some, the higher your membership though, the more you can use.
BBW-
I just looked and I think they are actually talking about 1800+ Backgammon tourney Number 10 (1 game each)
created by, um I can't remember this minute by who. Which was 'closed' for signup only 2 days ago but hasn't been started yet. There are indeed 2 players rated under 1800. But either of the scenarios you described could certainly have happened. Though, I also recall a bug in relation to this sort of thing being talked about not too long ago. Maybe this tourney was also created during that time? Don't know if that would make a difference. :-)
LOL.. whenever u 2 get debating stuff you both start repeating the same things over and over again...
OVERALL, i agree with DmitriKing.. though both of you certainly have valid points. Is it necessary to say them over and over again though???
I TOO became a member after a short period of time, because I am a total game addict, and I like the way this site is set up and the way Fencer takes such good care of it. And I too must say I resent when non-members complain about certain things. But, I'm not sure the thing that started this whole debate was that much of a complaint, but merely questions...
Non-paying players who have complaints about things that would be alleviated by becoming a member, SHOULD NOT COMPLAIN. That much I agree on.
Well 67542 and 67543... They didn't time out on my end, but my opponent's. I don't know if that makes a difference. But I would like to continue them! :-)
It seems to me, all 3 of you from your section, as well as the winners of the other sections are about to start round 3. Or are you saying that somewhere it is stating you are the final winner of the entire tournament????
I too like the winner's page Fencer. Maybe sometime I'll find myself on it! :-D .. would it be possible to also put "Won tournaments" on peoples' profiles?
Hey... Where are all the anti-reversi players???? I've signed up for quite a few anti reversi tourneys, and there is rarely enough to start the tourney. So, I decided to create my own, and do a little advertising to get people to join! So come on! Join the Hot-Rod anti reversi tourney by April 5! LOL.. what a goofy name, but oh well! There are 4 signed up now, so this tourney will definitely be happening.. Let's get some more!
:-D
Pioneer, I have a problem with that same player. That person apparently joined all kinds of tourneys and then put in all those vacation days. He/she has 45 days to make a move on the game that we have in a tourney, and has only made one move! It may be perfectly legal here, but EXTREMELY rude, in my opinion. I too like the vacation days, but what this person did is a little unreasonable.
I'm wondering if someone could tell me exactly what your responsibilities are when you start your own tourney... i was thinking of trying it, but I'd like to know first.
Thanks
:-)
