Lets try a twist to this. Its still Single Elimination but I added 2 wins the match so it should be best 2 out of 3 to go to the next round. 1 day moves, no days off
coan.net: thanks so much for the article....if I had of realized that I wouldnt have joined the damn tournament :( Im angry that the other people in the game knew the rules and I didnt because they just held out and held out to win the game on time out...now tell me if I resign the next 2 games with these people, having timed out on the first, how will it affect my BKR?
Bernice: Yea, for the Fischer Clock Games - the most important thing is the "Bonus" time - since depending on when you make your move, that will be the minimum amount of time you have to make a move.
FOR EVERYONE - That article explains how the xx/xx/xx timed games work with examples and such - VERY helpful for anyone wanting to learn more about how the times work on this site.
For myself, I rarely play Fisher Clock Games - and if I do, I always try to get a game that has at least 1 day bonus - since if I wait until the last minute to make my move, I know it will come back to me with at least 1 day to make a move.
TarantinoFan: OK....so I guess it is easy to set someone up then if you wait till the last minute to make a move you can win the game on time-out??? seems a bit unfair :(
Perhaps someone could tell me why this tournament got postponed. Two players were automatically cut (not by me) because they were pawns and didn't have enough room to join the game because they have a twenty game limit. I got a message saying that. I also got a simultaneous message saying that the tournament is now postponed. It didn't say how long. Does anyone know why and how long?
