:( Well put it this way, Art, I dont think I'll be going in for any more chess tourneys anytime soon!!
Ian... nudge nudge, I DID sign for your tourney so I know its not properly started yet! :P
You closed for sign up, now you have to press another button to start the tourney :D
*frown* at Ian!! LOL, is it you thats causing confusion with BlueSteel?! I dunno, memory like a sieve... forget to breathe if someone wasnt there to poke you when you stopped... leave your head on the bus if it wasn't screwed loosely to your head... [walks away muttering about Ians memory]!!! :oD
Can i say Sorry to all who signed up for my Beginners Chess tournament for such a late start.!
This was due to me totally forgetting that i had set this tournament up.!
Sorry again & good luck to all.
Ian.
Hi there, Blue Steel. I had a look and the tournament you're in is due to start on April 27th. It has the date on the page where your name is. Good luck! :)
I'm new to this site. I have signed up for a beginners tournament. It says last term to sign is April 10, 03. confused, when would this start? thank you, BLUE STEEL
I need two more players in the ArtfulDodger tournament to start it and prefer 4 more. Any chess players out there?? :) Hope so! Oh yeah, it's U1800 so if your rating is 1800 or above, sorry.
Eriisa: The games in this combobox are sorted by the last move date and time of your opponents. I will add more sorting options later because they can be too CPU-resources consuming and I would like to upgrade to a faster server first.
I've been trying to figure something out.... When you are on a games's page, there is the buttone for next game with the drop down box. Is there a way to control the sort of games in that box? What order are they listed in there?
I timed out on 2 games today, both with a 24-hour time limit. For 11 hours, I was not able to get into the site. Obviously, I could have played them well within the time limit if I could have gotten here. I seriously doubt that I'm the only person who timed out today because all we could get was a white screen. What are the chances of getting these games restored?
at present there is no provision to create a tournament for certain members only. It would be much better for the original tournaments to play to a final outcome.
Right now, there will not be a new round if the previous round had only one section. Like in that example, round 2 had only one section, so there will be no round 3, ties or not.
On the "Winners" page (new option on the left hand side) - it list all 3 of us from Round 2 as winners of that tournament.
The four sections in round 1 were already played, with the 4 winners each going to "Round 2, Section1" - which has ended with a 3 way tie. - which looks like the end of the tournament to me.
It seems to me, all 3 of you from your section, as well as the winners of the other sections are about to start round 3. Or are you saying that somewhere it is stating you are the final winner of the entire tournament????
I know how it is currently set up - if there is a tie in the last round of a tournament, it just ends as a tie. (for example the Open Fast Backgammon (3) tournament)
I guess my question is if there are any plans to extend a tournament for more rounds to find one winner, or if it will always stay like this.
I too like the winner's page Fencer. Maybe sometime I'll find myself on it! :-D .. would it be possible to also put "Won tournaments" on peoples' profiles?
Good to have you with us. :) Hopefully we can get enough interested. I may have a Backgammon tourney too, or join one. I'm rather a new player at it but am learning fast. Have a great Saturday!
Aww, thanks, AD!! I'll go sign up now! I shouldn't really, I have too many games going already but I think I need some practice for chess! LOL! Cheers! :o)
