It was 70 here yesterday we had thunderstorms and tornado watches last night and its supposed to be 75 today..... I think someone forgot to tell mother nature that it is winter LOL
ajtgirl: its not a bulb or a tuber its got the hairy looking roots id like to transplant some in a pot to bring inside so i can plant it again next spring

ajtgirl: my drift wood is very large and it provides a border for my yucca plants, i live in Virginia near the chesapeake bay its 1 pm and 91 right so thats an idea of our temps im looking for something simple to care for
skipinnz: thanks so much thats exactly what i wanted to know, mine is so pretty and i love the pot its in its kind of blue and brown swirled together with a tiny tiny chin man with a fishing pole and itty bitty fish dangling from it it looks so nice on my coffee table
nobleheart: no thats not it ... the flower its self is orange and yellow and it is a single bloom and it is shaped exactly like a piece of candy corn and its a large bloom bout the size of a day lily
In my area a couple of yards have a flower Ive never seen before, I will describe it best as I can. It is orange and yellow and its shape looks like candy corn. Its leaves and stems are similar to a day lillies. Does anyone know what kind of flower this may be?? I wish I had a photo of it. They are really neat and do look like candy corn.
Eriisa: mothballs work with snakes too i live in the country and we have the occasional snake that tried to move in but have found they dont like the scent of mothballs either
Yesterday was so beautiful. We had clear bright blues skys with not a cloud in sight. Warm air with an almost tropical breeze blowing. Spring is finally here in good old Virginia. All the trees have buds and the grass is getting greener each day. Its looking like today will be just like it.
Foxy Lady: my husband started planting inside this weekend he started the cabbage seeds hes gonna build me some boxes this year for my flowers so we wont have to weed and then they can be moved to mow the grass
