Februarie 2009, 08:24:45 Subiectul: Two new variant ideas Chess Variant Pages has a listing for "Amazon-Grand Chess" which adds an Amazon (combined Q & N) to each side of a standard grandchess array, placed behind each Queen; White's on d1, Black's on d10. No mention of it ever having been tested, but it would almost certainly enhance the tactical play. Also, I'd like to suggest applying the ice chess concept to the grandchess board. This could produce interesting strategic games. |
