Jason: I got here about 10.00am our time, and it was useless for about 2 hours.
I made 10 times as many moves on BugCafe as i did on here, which is crazy as i only have about 20 games there,
Rest of the day is has not been too bad here until about an hour ago.
Now i just keep getting

Tuesday: I'm planning to have regular interviews and then some others at special situations. Some will be chosen by the previous interviewee and some by everybody. And on occasion I may just pick one at random.
I still haven't set it all in my mind yet, I'm just playing some things as I go along. I already have loads of ideas and I plan to have some surprises now and then

Bottom line is - if you think somebody could be a good candidate just drop me a line - all votes will count for something, either now or 5 months from now or 3 years, who knows. I have nothing against pawns unless someone tells me they can't be interviewed...
hint - first one who gets 100 votes will get an instant interview, no matter if another one is already running or not

I really like that you have set a date. Much better than being in the dark on when to stop sending questions and when the interviewee will receive them.. very good idea!

I had forgotten the new rule about the last interviewee picking up the next in line. But since some other people had voted for Vikings as well, I went along and asked him if he accepts the challenge. Since he said yes, the question period is now open. The votes from other people will be accounted for in special occasions, I'll tell more about it when the time is right. In the meantime if anybody wants to nominate someone else to be interviewed, you can still do it, weather or not a selection process is in course.

So, as of now, send me your questions for Vikings . Ask anything. He says the site won't be the same after his interview, and that we're all doomed, so it's up to you to prove him right/wrong . If there are questions you feel you can ask anybody, tell me about it so you don't need to send them for every interview. If there is any question where you want to remain anonymous say it as well.
The clock is ticking and on the 14th October I'll create the questionaire to send to Vikings. So start writing

The part about the questions was a reply to coan's post. But that's for later, for now I'm accepting nominations. You can send more than one name if you wish, just try to send them all at once.

Ewe: which is why you must send me the names of the people you want to interview. So I can pick one.
I'll collect nominations until the end of this month. When I announce the "winner" in October you can send your questions then.

Tuesday: read back to pauloaguia last post, he asks for questions first then says he will announce who it is.....unless Ive read it wrong??? I think he must be choosing who it is, but I still think we should know who it is first then questions second.

Just thought, otherwise we could just have a standard set of questions for all? Then each person picked to be interviewed just fills in those questions!

pauloaguia: I would need to know who the person is before I ask a question, or it might not be relevant.

pauloaguia: I've updated the information above - you might need to remind me to update it from "send suggestions for new person" to "send questions for XXX" when the time comes.

On the interview page, it still lists the last coordinator - but Fencer will have to change that once he has some time.

Just a little addon to your 3rd point: If you want your questions to be reused for future interviews or would like to keep it anonymous, let me know. I believe this is how it worked in the past and I can see some reasons for it being so, so I think I'm going to keep this rule. If nothing of the sort is requested the questions will be used only for the current interview and will be credited to their author.

But this is for later. For now start sending me your sugestions for the next vict... person to be interviewed

OK - Well pauloaguia volunteered to be the Interview coordinator below - if he still wants it, I say it is his!

Once he confirms he wants it, I can update the information above.

So rather then continuing to put a lot of posts on this board, here is what needs to be done.

1. PRIVATE PM pauloaguia with who you would like to see interviewed next (or even if you would like to be interviewed next - I guess you could "vote" for yourself)

2. pauloaguia will pick someone. (FIRST Making sure that person wants to be interviewed) At that point, he will announce here who will be interviewed next.

3. At that point, people need to send pauloaguia interview questions for the next couple of weeks. Plus if he want to expand the interview a little more, he could always re-use basic questions from past interviews - like the common "Why did you choose that username" and "How did you find BrainKing" questions. Heck I can think of 10-15 questions which could be "Standard" questions on every quiz - and then after those "standard" questions, put the other user questions in.

4. After he has enough questions, he can organize the questions them to the interview person. They will now have some time to answer the questions - and send them back to pauloaguia.

5. pauloaguia can quickly look over them to make sure they are OK (no answers that are baiting, insults, foul language, or against any site rules) - then send them off to Fencer to post with the other interviews.

6. The last person interviewed can then suggest someone new to be interviews to pauloaguia. He will then start the process over. (If they can't think of anyone who they would like to see interviews, then pauloaguia should post that he needs some new ideas.)

side note: pauloaguia does not need to wait for 1 interview to be finished before starting the process of the next. If he wanted, as soon as he sends off 1 set of questions, he could start the next interview process - this is completely up to him.

Any other suggestions or ideas?

I too think anyone interested should put their name forward. We need to appoint an interviewer first though I think.

I would of thought there must be as RSS is used by many people in all walks of life these days.

Would be quite sad if someone should be that interested about what is said in a Fellowship, that would subscribe to an RSS Feed for it

I guess that applies to our Message Box as well

MadMonkey: I think RSS doesn't have authentication. If private boards had an RSS feed then anybody could read its posts just by subscribing to the feed.
