Czuch Czuckers: He said it was not transferable - what more do you want? Just because you may not be caught does not make it right. Just like people who use computer programs to play Chess or Checkers on here - just because they may get away with it because it is hard to prove, it still makes it against the rules.
Fencer: If I was to die, and gave my account to my son, and nobody told you, how would you ever really know? Or even if it wasnt a family member, people move all the time, and IP addys change as well, I just dont know how you can enforce it so somebody does not let another use their account?
plaintiger: I dont see any way for Fencer to prove (with any absolute certainty) if this has been done, nor should he care, really, since he got paid for someone to have all of the benefits of a brain rook FOREVER! It does not say for life, but forever, so it has to be transferable, since non of us can live forever!
can anyone tell me the facts - no guesses nor opinions, please; those are of no interest nor use to me - but rather the facts - about whether a black rook membership may be transferred - whether given or sold or whatever - to a person other than the original owner?
Sooooo - this new game - been reading the rules - and frankly im disturbed - im trying to read the mind of fencer here and i cant for the life of me determine what i did to upset him so much - i dont see any games where little men with swords get points for killing eachother - why in the name of all thats good and pure - must we kill the little redfrogs???
Matarilevich: Just for finding all the opponents frogs, you get 2 points. On top to the 2 points, you get 1 point for each frog your opponent did not find.
Rules say: "The other player gets a bonus of 2 points and 1 point for each own frog which was not found by the opponent." I don´t understand this. ¿¿2? or ¿1? points?
Fencer: Ahhhh yes, but you know what these pesky little bugs are like. They have a nasty one on Star Trek - Voyager at the moment(Sky 2 now), and there computer aint working at all LOL
Dont know if you want to check this Fencer, but this is the reason i asked for that Feature. My Ludo Captain "Snoopy", just posted a result on the Madhouse board that she JUST got in a message. Now what i find odd is i already have that result on my list at home from about 2 weeks ago when i was going through results. So, what happened in between LOL

If I go to the tournaments page, the first 9 tournaments are way past their sign-up deadline; the first tournament is even 300 days past the sign up deadline. They all seem to be tournaments that require a Brains entry fee. Is this a bug? Or do tournaments with entry fees never get deleted?
I have noticed the same thing but AT THE SAME time have noticed that what the dice say are the dice that I need...for instance:- a full house is what I need and the dice come up with a full house...no options to roll the dice....to me it hasnt been a problem thus far :)
Rose: Yes it only happened to me today, very strange. I will put same message on computer board. Thanks . oh and my smilies have stopped working too *bangs head on wall* lol
mybirthdaysoon: I had that a few months back. One day it just happened on me, in Firefox.. i had to uninstall FF then install the latest version.. even that didnt always work so I switched to seamonkey.. problem solved then.. Since then I have a completely new system and so far, knock on wood, my FF hasnt had that problem. So I'm no help.. might get some insite on the Computer board tho as this doesnt pertain to the site structure etc.

Субъект: Re: Actions if you cannot make a legal move.
MadMonkey: In Nine Men's Morris you also lose if you cannot make a move.
BTW, I think that Nine Men's Morris would make a nice addition to BrainKing. It's an old game with proven playability, with simple rules (making it easier to program than say, chess), and it has several variants (with three, six and twelve men; Wikipedia even mentions variants with 5, 7 and 11 men).
Субъект: Re: Actions if you cannot make a legal move.
MadMonkey: If I am not mistaken, in some Mancala variants, when you have no move you win all marbles still on board. I don't especially like such rules (as I don't especially like the stalemate rule in chess) but they do exist.
Субъект: Re: Actions if you cannot make a legal move.
Fencer: I don't like them, because i have never played or heard of the game, and still think they are crazy rules, but there you go, i accept it..........and as you say dont have to play it, like the broke dice game
Субъект: Re: Actions if you cannot make a legal move.
MadMonkey: "Often" is not an accurate word. Furthermore, rule adjustments are done mostly to games invented by BrainKing users. Konane is a game created a long time ago and there is no point to change its rules now, only because you don't like them.
AbigailII: Agreed, but does not mean its the right rules to use. It was discussed when Ataxx first came here, why cant we have a pass as in Backgammon ? Why does Backgammon have to be the only game to have a Pass ? I just think that if a player has done alot of the hard work, WHY should they lose ? A draw should be the worst they get - IMHO
Субъект: Re: Actions if you cannot make a legal move.
MadMonkey: Losing when you have no legal move available is quite normal for Checkers variants. In fact, you lose in Checkers itself as well if you cannot move. You also lose in Anti-Chess, Chinese Chess, Espionage, and Tablut if you have no legal move available. In the gammon variants, you pass. In Ataxx, a stalemate isn't always draw - a stalemate ends the game and the one with the most points wins. It's only a draw if both sides have the same number of points.
