Providing links is ok. *Avoid long posts. Most people don't read them anyway. *No religious debate please! (avoid trying to state a particular religious point of view and avoid sermonizing)
"Moderators are here for a reason. If a moderator (or Global Moderator or Fencer) requests that a discussion on a certain subject to cease, or be moved elsewhere - for whatever reason - please respect these wishes. Failure to do so may result in being hidden, or banned."

ScarletRose: I'm confident that's her. The names match and it's her exact name that she used on Paypal when we bought our black rook together. So very sad.
My cousin's only son (Greg) passed away last night. Very sad. We were just celebrating his improvement in the hospital and he was able to go home. Complications and he passed away in his sleep.
Mousetrap: I'm not too concerned about the topic of tithing as long as it doesn't turn into a debate or sermonizing. Generally speaking, this forum is not a discussion forum but I see nothing wrong with this sort of friendly sharing from time to time - as long as it doesn't become the norm or carry on too long. Such discussions can easily fall under "support" and "affirming" as stated above. At the same time, it's probably wise to remember the main purpose of this board.
For people of many faiths, giving is one way to show worship, honor, and praise to God. And has been said, giving of oneself is as important as the giving of money. I think this idea is at the heart of Tuesday's question. I think 2 corinthians 9:7 pretty much sets the criteria for New Testament giving: Each of you must give what you have decided in your heart, not with regret or under compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver.
Субъект: Re: thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers
baddessi: We have earthquakes and floods here. Sometimes rock slides in the mountain and avalanches too. But where I live on earthquakes affect us. We're up too high for floods, too far from the mountains too. I've felt a couple of earthquakes since moving out here.
If you are interested in becoming a co-mod on this board, please PM me. This board is usually very easy to moderate so it's a good starter board for someone who hasn't modded yet. There are some requirements such as membership of at least 6 months and I think you have to be a knight or above. I will submit names to the globals who make the final decision.
As many know who have been following this board, PBarb has gone back to a pawn and is taking some time off to concentrate on her health. Let's keep her in our thoughts and prayers and give her our best wishes on improved health. Take care PBarb and keep in touch with us!
ScarletRose: Nancy was recently in the hospital due to a pain in her chest. It turned out to be diabetes related and not heart. She's had to undergo more test and still more to come. She's had diabetes for a while now. But she's on meds, not insulin at this point.
Radiant2007 :-): thanks guys :) I think my daughter will be released Thursday so I'll go visit them at home tomorrow. Haven't seen her eyes yet as the little granddauther is catching up on her sleep lots. ;)
Please give a warm welcome to our new co-moderator, Pbarb2! Thanks Barb for your willingness to lend a hand. It's usually a very warm and friendly place. Your presence will make it even better. :)
of Willie. The son of a friend who died in an auto crash. The memorial is tomorrow. I'm playing. Great family and a great kid. He was 26. One car crash. One of my youth group kids. Just starting out life. He will be missed by many.
