Foxy Lady: oh - do You mean the movie? because i looked at the whole article but didn't see any other pictures...and i didn't notice the movie was a movie until i just now went back to see what the heck You were talking about.
in the forest near me...in a pile of leaves..is a slime mold..I have heard of them..I know they creep/move slowly...this one I pass every 3 days..can actually see it has moved...has anyone else ever seen one?
How's everyones garden doing? Ours is coming along ok but were still about a week behind.I got grapes on my vines and had to spray them, the beetles were chewing away at the leaves.
heavenlyemma: I grow herbs too: love the smell of a row of sweet basil my sage is 5 years old...can't wait till it blooms. rosemary is doing well ..its on its second year
Are you just yanking our chain or are you really interested in the plant kingdom? I am not a botanist I wish I had the knowledge to be one I am a simple grower of crops and we can't grow or sell those fungi here! LOL
Foxy Lady:That sounds just like a mint we have . It's called catmint and after it's mowed it smells nice for quite a while, and it is a little bit invasive.
ajtgirl: I did nothing he sent me a PM stating that he isn't on much anymore, and to please remove him.I'm hoping it's a girl keeping him busy.............
But really i yelled at him for not having the coffee ready in the CoffeeHouse
ajtgirl: every year since I was 8 I have had a herb garden...learned from mr.cannon..who ran the pioneer herb garden at pioneer village in toronto.amateur botanist since before the south fell.I do find the unusual members of the botanic world interesting to learn about..not that I suggest we grow them...just trying to expand your green horizons a little.
plaintiger:I've been to the ginger factory in Queensland Aust and they have a whole heap of different tyeps of ginber plants with the most spectular range of flowers and colours.
Mousetrap: I have a real bad slug problem too. Home Depot has a slug bait that isnt harmful to the environment you might wnat to try. Little pellets that they eat and it kills them ( I think it expands too much once in them) Anywho, I have/had about 200 sunflowers in my back garden and only half way survive. Must be slugs favourite food
