Bernice. I have resigned a game many times when I knew I was going to lose. Not out of poor sportsman ship but to speed things along. Many players do that. He likly didnt mean to be rude at all. I don't see the need to complete a game especially a long game like 10x10 reversi if I know I have no chance of winning. I resign, say WTG gg or what ever and end the game to get on with other games or start new ones. I never ever thought it was considered poor sportsmanship like conduct

In many many cultures, to resign before the end of a game shows true sportsmanship. The idea is that one recognizes their weakness honestly and honors his opponent by showing that they have been beaten soundly with no hope of winning. Resignation is often seen as a recognition of superior skill. In this age of multi-culturalism, we must think first before we qualify our opponents' actions.
