Ingredients to layer in the jar. Do not mix them together just layer them. Not necessarily in the order given. Looks nicer if layering light ingredients to dark and switching them back and forth.
1 Cup plus 2 Tbs flour
2/3 Cup packed brown sugar
3/4 tsp salt
2/3 Cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 Cup baking cocoa
1/2 Cup chocolate chips
1/2 Cup chopped nuts
Then decorate with a swatch of cloth on the lid and a rubber band or ribbon to hold it on. I use 32 oz mayonaise jars since they are just the right size. Then add a tag all fancied up with the following on the back.
No offense but I find it strange that several people can post off topic here but only one gets ridiculed for it. The fact that they are pawn doesn't make their opinion any less important, does it?
I know of many poor people who not only have internet, but 4 tvs, video games, large salt water fish tanks etc.... How can they be poor and still afford all of this, you ask? My government gives them my money to pay for their food and housing and medical.
Who the heck do you think you are! How dare you judge other people! Is that not what God is for! To judge! Seems to me you think you are a pretty special person because your hubby and you serve meals! Big deal!A lot of us do that too! Maybe you should try standing in one of those lines. I do not think that this is the kind of poor anyone here is talking about! Do you not know that it is a sin to boast about your blessing that you give! I think you should come down off your cloud and try to see what these folks are attempting to do! What is wrong with trying to help your neighbor! Is that not what God has asked of us! Treat others as you want to be treated! YOU do not KNOW the circumstances of all people here or elsewhere! God Bless you all that are trying to make this work!

If it was just a printed recipe book, folded A4 pages maybe stapled in the middle, it would only cost for ink. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, the kids school does recipe books, about 4 or 5 A4 sheets, folded, and charge £1 each to raise money for the school.
We could also do joke books taken from the joke board.
First you need to gather alot of recipes to make a book.Who's going to publish it and you need a backer were talking money..Sounds like a good idea but i disagree about anyone being poor on this site or any other. If that was true i'd rather adopt a Family for Christmas.
well since it was my idea I could do it or we could take a vote as to who does it but as I said to ScarletRose the money would go to help people who can't afford membership get a membership minus shipping ahd handling
Ok so what your saying is that you don't want to help the poor people get a membership here then because that is where the money would be going and nobody except the site would be making the money for this book of recipes to help poor people that would like a membership could get one
so anybody here willing to start a cookbook that the site can sell to make money so that if someone does what to become a member but can't afford to then they could it would be something like a fund raiser to help the poor join as a member
1 package (1/4 oz) active dry yeast
2 tablespoons warm water (110* to 115*)
1 cup mashed cooked butternut squash
1/3 cup warm milk (110* to 115*)
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 egg
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 to 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
GLAZE: 1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon water
In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in water. In a mixing bowl, combine squash, milk, butter, egg, brown sugar and salt; mix well. Add yeast mixture and 1-1/2 cups flour; mix well. Add enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour. Punch dough down. Divide into thirds; roll each third into an 18 in. rope. Place on a greased baking sheet. Braid ropes together; pinch ends. Cover and let rise until nearly doubled, about 30 mins. Combine glaze ingredients; brush over braid. Bake at 350* for 20-25 min or until golden brown. Remove from pan and cool on a wire rack. Yield: 1 loaf.
