Ämne: AVG problem

I wonder if someone could help me please? I downloaded the free version of AVG anti virus - when I run the scanner, my computer crashes.... I have no other anti virus programs, but I don't know if I should disable the Microsoft built-in ones? I have Windows XP.

You may try the following:
-   Uninstall the current version of AVG -> restart -> disable anything else.
-   Install a new AVG (or any other downloaded anti-virus-prog)
-   run the scanner...
