Pbarb2: hmmmm the Knight in question played in that Team Tournament that is still running for another Fellowship.
Saying that he has played all his games in that Tournament & the Fellowship in question can not go through to the next round, so his Tournament is over
I know Fencer has allowed Knights to play in new Team Tournaments if a previous Team Tournament is over as such, BUT being held up by other games, BUT this time he has said no
If you are struggling to find another let me know, i will see what i can do
Pbarb2: As Snoopy and Tigger have already answered, the Brain Knight member is already playing another team tournament, so he cannot be included in your team.
Family Man: I wanted him to confirm it. This tourney he in is from long time ago and they hadn't finished it yet. They aren't going onto the next round. He is the boss and I will take his answer. :)
Pbarb2: As Snoopy and Tigger have already answered, the Brain Knight member is already playing another team tournament, so he cannot be included in your team.
Pbarb2: I think if you ask Fencer he will make it so your Knight can play
The Tournament that is still running will not matter as apart from the few games left to finish, your Team will not be going to the next round so it should be fine
I have 8 people signed up for Battleboats Plus. I can't get it to sign up. I do have a knight..but my team is the only one he is on. He only has 28 games I think it is. So why can't I get it to sign up? It says.. not enough players. Can someone look into it for me? This for The Friendship Club 2 and for Fencers Tourney. Thanks BARB
I changed the description at the top. I think King Reza still would like suggestions for a new person to be interviewed, so please send him a message when you have an idea :)
Tuesday: she announced over a week ago that she will not be doing the interview as she was NEVER coming to this site again....LOL...nothing further has been said, but there have been offers to be interviewed...
Pbarb2: I believe, once you sign up, nothing changes the team in that Team Tourney. You will need to exit the tournament and get someone else to join the team. I'm not sure though, maybe the person can still play, since you already signed up before they became a pawn.
I have the Backgammon team listed in Fencers tourney. I went to check my backgammon list in the fellowship. It said I have one less than the 8 I signed up for. I checked and someone became pawn. Now it says I have one less in my fellowship list but in Fencers game it still lists my fellowship being in the tourney. How can that be? Thanks
Gordon Shumway: I bet Fencer spends a third of his time to try to keep up to date with the development in the IT-branch, and he is doing a good job to maintain the performance of the site. No need to be naive. Problem today are not the 'traditional' hackers, but governments and companies storing every information they can get.

Binabik: It's 'nothing'. The content gets copied, that happens with the whole net. Web is dublified x-times, it makes it a joke. Updates, bytes. Nothing to worry about if it would be rather a backgroundtask (site interruptions and co. tztztztz).

AbigailII: I think some card games would work on a turn-based game site, but I think it would need to be tweeked and such to get it to work well.
I would like to see a couple card games put on this site like how the ponds work - like Black Jack.
For example, each round, you try to get at close to 21 as possible - if bust, you are out of the game. Then the "dealer / computer" does their hand. If you beat the dealer, you stay in - if not, you are out. Continue to do that until either 1 or 0 players are left as the winner of the BJ21 game. (or no winner if all bust/lose) - maybe make it that bust "fall" out of the game first, and lose falls out after the bust people. [edited to add - actually might be better to have it that you are out of the game after 3 times getting beat or something similar, instead of just 1]
Other card games that might work well: Uno would be interesting. no-limit texas holdem might work - start each player with 100 brains to "bet" - but quickly raise the starting anti's (or whatever that is called) so to make sure the game does not last forever (or have longer game version starting at 250/500 brains) (and I say "brains" as in fake money - don't think you would want to call it money so the site does not get confused for a gambling site.)
AbigailII: i hadnt thought of it that way :) maybe the previous moves column could show what had been played. the computer could remember instead of the person. that might raise other problems though....
tippyc: You know, long time ago, I thought that card games would be a nice addition. But then I realized that most card games don't work well on sites where there can be days, if not weeks between moves, and one game could last half a year, or longer. See, with go or chess or checkers, or most other games here, whenever you see a board, you see all the information. History is not important - you base your move on the current position, and it doesn't matter how you got there.
But that is quite different with card games. Previous played card matter. In some games, knowing which cards have been played, by whom, and in which order, is vital. And that works well when you play a card game face-to-face. You play on game at the time, and it's finished in a reasonable amount of time. Playing a myriad of games at once, streched over long periods of time just isn't the same. Even if you had a game history to browse. (Which you normally don't have).
Don't get me wrong. I love card games. I love them even more than board games. I just don't thinkt they will work well on a turn based site.
puupia: 100% want to agree with you, BUT as a member willing to play new players like yourself and help introduce them to brinking it is getting VERY boring now logging in to have a bundle of new messages in my Inbox saying 'I win , because your opponent Timed-out' AGAIN, as it was a Pawn accepting the game, and then not returning. I post the invites by choice, but i will not any longer if something is not sorted out. Sad, but i will not waste my time for those who do not appreciate it :o(
MadMonkey: As a new user this suggestion of "have to log x times" seems very bad. To me waiting room seem like the easiest way to start games. And if i couldn't start games when i first log in, why would i ever log in again?
Jules: I know i can block Pawns, BUT i do not mind playing them at all if they like there games and are interested in brainking It just a shame when some Pawns accept invites then do not make a move or return to brainking again. Its another invite wasted, so yes i create more. I do not mind trying to help people that are new to the site or anything like that, but it does tend to get annoying after a while. There again as i said what can be done ? We could be given a certain ammount of BKR if the opponent does not make a move after accepting a game OR maybe Pawns should not be able to take games from the Waiing Room unless they have signed on 'X' ammount of times. Something at least
