MadMonkey: I think the difference between Knights/Bishops and Rooks in that matter is much more importante than between White and Black Rooks. And yet, they are all packed in the same category. Most Baclk Rooks have AP's disabled, since they don't want to put up with the adds and/or there's nothing to gain in there for them. I also think it's fair to let Black Rooks enter a competition against as many players as possible - a dozen BlackRooks competing between themselves to win a prize is not nearly as fun as the same competition with over 100 players.
That said, I don't care either way because I have APs switched off
joshi tm: Thats hardly fair on the people that may need to win a membership, spend all month trying to get it with Action points, then have to win a Tournament as well..... If a Black Rook wants to do that i am sure they could afford to put up a prize for a Tournament anyway ! After all they could afford to be a Black rook. Would you rather not like to win a new PC game, or brainking goodies or something useful to yourself.

I think that Black Rooks should have a different monthly action to everyone else when it comes to membership being a prize(have PC games or something from brainking store for example). Black Rooks obviously are here a lot and play many games, thats why they purchased the membership in the first place. MOST normal players do not really stand a chance of beating them when it comes to Action points for obvious reasons. All that will happen is it is won, then given as a prize in there own Tournaments or given away, not exactly fair for NON-Black Rooks and pointless for Black Rooks as they dont need it, let them win something else.
Fencer: I've a simple rule on all game sites I play: I never accept invitations. If I want to play a particular game with particular time settings, I join a tournament according that suits my tastes, or pick one from the waiting games page. I might even create my own tournament or post something on the waiting games page. I certainly don't want to explain to people why I reject their invitations, so currently whenever I get invited, I put the person inviting me on my blocked users list, then decline the invitation.
I don't invite random strangers to play - and I appreciate it not to be invited either.
I'm with Abigail on this one. I got a huge shock when I bought my membership and went mental with the tourney and team signups so disabling invites would be really good until I learn to control myself better. LOL
I currently have 133 games (27 tourneys) and I managed that in the space of a week or so. After being limited to 20 (1 tourney) for so many years I need time to get used to having that large a game list so disabling all invites would be really helpful! Although I don't have much control so I may not use it!! LOL
Fencer: Play tournaments? Reply to ads on the Waiting games page? Post ads on the waiting games page?
I don't understand your reply. Are you saying it's OK to ignore invites for 101 out of 102 games, but not to ignore them for 102? If that's so, could you tell us in which games the least invites happen, so I can leave that game enabled?
How does one prevent oneself from getting invites? I can go to the game filter settings, and disable all games to receive invites for, but one. If I deselect them all, it just comes back with whatever was the previous setting. So the best I can do is disable all games, except for one. Is this a bug? Am I doing something wrong?
1 flag is shown on everyones profile .. that with which country the user has registered himself
another flag is shown to select the language in which the site will be shown .. there are several translators who translated this site into other languages (e.g. vic and i translated the site into dutch) .. there is no american flag shown there because the site isnt translated into american .. an english flag is shown for the english translation though
for any discussions about politics or freedom of speech .. please use another board which is more aimed for that subject

fakarten: lol, it took me 2 weeks to figure it out, one night i drank ice tea not beer, lol, it will tell him what roll he's on, if it's him. if not i guess they will fix it.i see he did lose his dice, he must be a gambler, lol. just a joke!!!!
fakarten: lol, i have done that on so many games, clicked the dice and went on back to my games board only to get back to the game to find i had made 1 somesimes 2 and 3 moves to find no boxes and only score move left, lol, i did that few times till i found out what i did.
alanback: Im using Firefox as well Alan. All i can think of is clearing your cache, but guess you have tried that. In fact if you want a decent clean download Ccleaner (from www.ccleaner.com), its a great tool. May help
pauloaguia: He's talking about the option is Settings - in which even if you remove the auto-pass option, and click to save settings, it will still stay set. (so yea probable a bug)
Oceans Apart: I'll actually agree. I admit, I do like chess but dont have that many games open. I have plenty of Backgammon and Ludo games so those would give me plenty of action points. LOL. Oh and for me its 6PM. But you will all get a head start for an hour. Since I have to work and wont be home until a little after 7. Hopefully you wont get too many points before I come on!
Konu: Re: Does anyone else get this annoying page while using firefox to make their moves on here?
Dice Poker Pro: Yes I get that message too sometimes. It doesn't happen all the time though. Usually when it does, Fencer is online and changing the site settings or something. That message doesn't even last a minute, so it goes away very quickly.
Fencer, if I have turned auto pass on in the Game filter Settings page, will all my running games against opponents with the same settings also include auto pass?
Konu: Re: Does anyone else get this annoying page while using firefox to make their moves on here?
Dice Poker Pro: Firefox, Opera, IE or any other browser. That occurrence is browser independent (though the look of the page may be different from one browser to another).
Usually just means Fencer is messing with our patience by upgrading the site when we are trying to do something on the site
(sakla) Play a game in real time with an online opponent! For this to be possible, you and your opponent have to select the action "Move and stay here" as default and then reload the page with the F5 key! (TeamBundy) (Bütün ipuçlarını göster)
