Baseball, there is always a mathematical chance to win, and that is true for all sports. But a game like backgammon, there is a point when it is not finished, where one player has no mathematical chance to win. Her point still was that games aren't played out all the way, if they don't need to be. If you haven't read the whole thread, you will see where she is coming from, if you do. I'm as American as any other American, and I have certainly resigned games that are mathematically impossible for me to win, and I feel comfortable saying that probably most others do as well. It was an inaccurate generalization on the part of tfra11. 29. It tries to balance the time left but does not count with weekend and vacation days.It will be self-fixed when you make a move. Many games of mine (the non Fischer clock ones) went suddenly from 3 days left to -8 or -9 days left.
