Corporation: The games are there, they just do not appear to you in "Waiting Games" because you could not possibly accept the challenge otherwise you would be playing yourself.

Hope this solves your dilemma.

And to prove it, I have accepted one of your horde chess games.

Cheers WQ :)

I've created a game of chess amd horde chess and neither shows up in the waiting room, but show up on my main page that they've been created.

What should I do?

Teema: Re: Kibitzing FRC Openings
Sumerian: I think as there is plenty of opportunity for diversion from any course there doesn't need to be a kibitzing rule. After all, there are a lot of sound first, second, and so on moves from almost any of the initial positions, so the play is largely a matter of taste. Also, correspondence is set up to allow maximum thought and opportunity for research for each player.

I don't think this is necessary at FRC.......But perhaps it would be a good idea.....!

Teema: Kibitzing FRC Openings
Well, in OTB tournaments you have no time to watch simultaneous played games. Here the situation is a little bit more complicated. May be it could help to disallow any kibitzing until move 5 of any random game.

7. mai 2005, 16:19:25
Chessmaster1000
In this way it would make games of the tournament more interesting, but in the current way it would help to see who plays better the current position or for FRC-Chess interested players(like me) it would help to generate some ideas about various setups......And as i've said in the current way there is no luck factor at all.........

7. mai 2005, 14:33:26

But in tournaments with 2 games with reverted colours per pair of players it would be really enough if these 2 games are the same IMHO.

7. mai 2005, 14:12:20

Should be a fast paced tournament with a two day move limit.

the only problem with this interface is that it doesn't show the pieces off board, which is VERY annoying for this variant

Another reason why this should not be allowed:
A "move" is not the action of a piece travelling, but the action of putting a piece on a free square (or occupied by opponent, but that doesn't apply here). Since a5 is occupied, the R can't move there

You can find and download the PDF document (in German language) from the very
interesting Chess Tigers' home site at: http://www.chesstigers.de/download.php
( please search there for the link: Chess960 Startpositionen und Regeln ).

Hi friends of real chess programming!

In a very interesting article (German language) from the Frankfurt Chess Tigers
you can learn that there are already 20 participants. Thus it will be an event
huge and relevant for chess programming in August 2005, where the engines will
have o calculate from the beginning, not where a huge opening library might end.

See article at: http://www.chesstigers.de/ from 2005-04-17.

Reinhard.

grenv: Ain't that the truth? This fear of losing is making him not try new games. It's a shame in a way. As smart as he is preported to be, we'd really have our hands full if he got good at Dark Chess. There's no way around it though, even if you are good you will lose games. I've lost some to people who were just learning the game. And while you're learning the game, it's a given that you'll take some lumps and lose a few too. Maybe after Alex wins that marathon Chess game between them the burden will be off and he can branch out and try some new things.

I know that him and quite a few other regular Chess, Gothic Chess, and Janus Chess players have no problem or would have no problem beating me at those games, but I hold my own against them in Dark Chess.
