Okay for now.

Its a little bit off topic, but its a good contest! As long as it doesn't grow into a big discussion about the possible answers...
It may have been better held at a chess discussion board, but it will reach more people here.
I'll check with Fencer, but its ok for now.

The first one who will post here at
BrainKing.com discussion board and only here, the correct answers to the above 3 questions, will win a 6 Month Rook membership............

The 3 questions are here.

***If there are no answers or any correct one until the same day next week, there will be no winner.......
***In the extremely rare case when there will be 2 or more correct answers at the exactly same time, the winner will be the one whose post will appear first at the BrainKing.com discussion board.

Or else just send me a PM asking for my mail and I can fix them for you tonight

I have found pictures I like but they are too big. Can someone tell me how to resize them and crop them a little if necessary?

I'd suggest a google search for pictures. Edit then what you'll find to the suitable size and don't care about any copyrights. I mean, who cares about fellowships icon on BK? :-)

doesnt 'auto' mean 'self' .. we have to do it ourselves

(ok maybe thats a dutch translation out of its meaning .. but it might also work in english .. i am not sure ;))

Hey i've lost in a couple of ponds etc but there is no evidence of my wins/losses/draws anywhere that i can find( i could just be being blind)- is there any or are we just playing the games and then their "gone" without any proof of us playing them.

hmm i didnt mean hyper backgammon .. was there a game in it of only 3 moves ?

i only know of a gothic chess game (i think) of 3 moves .. i dont know of any faster games ?

Subject: Re:
Hrqls: Yes, if someone had answered 3 I would have mentioned HyperBG as well ;)

But now that I think about it there was montion of a couple of chess games that actually ended in 2 moves (fool's check). So, it means no BKR change for those?

19. January 2005, 11:38:31
Hrqls
lol .. there was at least 1 game with only 3 moves where 1 player did win .. 1 move sooner and it would not have counted for the bkr :)

19. January 2005, 11:25:10
pauloaguia
the game in question was in a tournament... So I guess it applies to tournaments as well (at least here at BK).
Thank you both (should read the FAQ more often )

Subject: BKR
Is there a minimum number of moves for a game to count for BKR? One of my opponets timed out without even starting the game and no BKR change... at least in the message... (I'm not complaining: I don't think I should be awarded for a game that didn't even happen).

If there's a minimum how much is it?
