Subject: Hot Spot
I think it is for knights and above only. Plus it sounds like it does not work with WebTV either.

To see it, first you have to change your settings so Javascript will work.

Then in the upper left corner of the screen (above & left of "Main Page"), if you stick your mouse there, a drop down menu will list the first 30 games which it is your turn to move in the order that in on the main page.

Of course I am here. And it's not a bug. It can happen when you are close to the limit and new tournament games are generated for you.

The number on my bike lock is 6413, (dont tell LongJohn in case he sends some boys round to nick it) that's a total of 14, my problem is at which numbers should I best set it when I'm away?

What amazes me is that even two (Erinity and Gothic) are so nerdy about their ratings that they actually noticed.

Subject: sooo confused!
I won 3 games of battleboats plus and my rank hadn't changed. I looked at the list to see if maybe the next person up was way ahead of me and there are ppl higher than me who have lower scores. So is there a time delay in that? i thought I had seen it change instanteously before. Just asking... :)

When I view players on line and the number given has a disparity to the number that I can view, does this accurately indicate the number of members online upon whose enemies list I am?

Subject: Re: Team Tournament Question
I will have to look at the source code to be sure but I think that each round is created by current average BKR of teams.

Subject: Team Tournament Question
Question - for team tournaments, each team is sorted by rating.

... and since ratings can change...

When the second round starts, does the team order stay the same as the first round, or does each team get reordered by what the rating is at that time?

Ahh.. I see where the "hot spot" is. Now that I changed Settings, there is a blank space between "Main Page" and "New Game" in the menu.
I can confirm that indeed, it does NOT work for WebTV... :-D (For the reasons stated in the previous post)

Doesn't sound like something I'll miss too much anyways, though.

Can someone describe exactly what you see?.. I'm just curious... I can't check in to Brainking from the computers at work anymore..

JavaSCRIPT works with webtv. But as IMupChucKing stated, there has to be at least a link for us to move our "cursor" over it.
An example would be, that I believe if PC users put their cursor over a flag, it says what country it is? (I know it's something like that.. I could be wrong about exactly what it is.) But since the flags are not "clickable", we can't place our "cursor" over it, and get that information. So whatever it is you guys are talking about, I'm sure it most likely won't work with WebTV

Czuch
No!
But I dont know if it is a java thing or not. We jast dont use a mouse, and cannot make it go anywhere that ther is no link. My curser does not go to any blank or hotspot links on the main page though :(

I'm on column layout also. Are you on a PC? Did you make sure that the javascript option is now checked in your profile? Then the question would be is what browser are you useing.

Ok, Ok, Ok.

First I believe you have to set Javascript enable in settings.

Second, on any page, put your mouse in the upper left hand coner of the page (upper left above the "Main Page") (Not sure how this looks if people have their page layout different)

Third - you will see clickable menu that list the first 30 games on your main page as quick links to those games.

And don't forget, as Fencer said - still testing so it may not work for everyone, and may be some bugs?

18. September 2004, 01:35:18
NOT a floosie

Its funny... right before I read that from BBW, I had just come from my settings page and had enabled the java script... too weird. But I cant find it either, and I do think webtv is java script enabled already?

Well I will give you a hint.

First, you have to go into Settings and enable Javascript. So in that, I'm guessing it will not work with WebTV.

After that, I'm sure someone else will find it! :-)
