Our family came through Frances pretty much unscathed.

The only damage we received was to our shed door (ripped cleanly off and deposited in front of the same shed it came from.....just flipped around) and some minor damage to our front porch.

We are lucky considering the misfortune that Frances has left to others in the same county.

While I was at work, power got restored and, thus, I am able to type this message to everyone.

Hope Backoff and Floosy return home soon and hope theirs was spared Frances' little sojourn.

Thats how have mine set too BBW..... but I think I did it wrong.... I thought ascending meant from the most recently moved to the longest since moved, and Visa versa for descending.... thanks for clearing that up for me :)

Question.... does this feature kick in as soon as it is set, or the next time you log in? (I dont have enough games to play right now to find out)

Looks good Fencer - I really like having the feature of being able to play the games sorted by when the other opponent moved. That way it is easy to (1) play with other players who are on-line (decending), and (2) play game with the games which have been waiting the longest (acending)

Nobody will be affected because when I finish a graph generator script, all BKRs will be recalculated from the very start to make their history for statistics purposes.

As it was a "BrainKing.com" issue, I did my part to identify a bug in the BrainKing.com software, notify the BrainKing.com admin, and post to the BrainKing.com board.

Since Fencer is now aware of the bug, has acknowledged the report, has restored the affected games, all he needs to do now is adjust the 3 peoples' ratings that were adversely changed, and the error will have been corrected in full.

I think this now closes the issue and there is no need for further responses.

Then you need to expect others to respond, when posting on a public board.

For the record, I did send Fencer a PM, which he did not respond to. If he simply said he had other things which he was attending to, that would have been fine.

As he did not, and others may have been adversely affected, I notified the community through this discussion board.

your lacking overview privately and read the helpfiles first, especially somebody

It has nothing to do with Dark Chess itself. Please check if some message in the message archive below the game board doesn't contain a very loooooooong word which makes the whole page wider.

Modified by plaintiger (6. September 2004, 06:36:05)
i'm playing a game of dark chess and as of this afternoon or so (US eastern time) the page my dark chess game appears on is way too wide - i have to scroll horizontally (brrrr!) to see the move list. my opponent, who's using WebTV, poor thing, is having the same problem - and with the full-featured luxury that WebTV offers, She doesn't even seem to have the option of scrolling horizontally and so can only see the left column of the move list.

the game is here. thanks in advance for any help...

oh yeah, and i forgot to mention: none of the other games i'm playing, including my other game with the same opponent, exhibit this problem. and none of them are dark chess, either.
