I don't know if this is part of the red numbers bug or has been covered before but:
when I pick up an invitation by clicking the red number the page gives no indication as to who the invite is from. There's just a game board.

Subject: Auto log in...
I have found that I am able to leave this site to browse or whatever, and do not always have to log in to get back here. Even after going to bed and coming back this morning, I did not have to log in, and even my connection was off. Is this an advantage of WebTV? I have heard others say that they cant even leave the site at all without having to log back in....

I did post this yesterday or the day before but.....:(

Every message board (not main page or game pages)
all fellowship pages have to be scrolled across.
Is this something new or a bug?
it is a bit of a nuisance
I have looked for information on this but unless someone speaks different to me i might have misunderstood...

Subject: General Brainking questions..
This is in response to a post MUCH further down, from someone who was going to leave the site because they didn't get a response from Fencer as quick as they would have liked. For general questions, it might be a good idea to send them to the BKsupport email address. Everyone in customer service gets these emails, and you will most likely get a quicker response. Especially at this time when Fencer is very busy..
Just a suggestion!
:-)

Subject: Re: Message Self / Note Pad
I also send messages to myself. I have a standard "Welcome note" that I send out to new members of the Club WebTV fellowship. I copy and paste it from that message I sent myself. I also send a message to myself of the list of people in the fellowship, so that if we ever have a "time warp" like last year, it will be easy to re-invite people..
I suppose I can save this information in an email to myself, instead.. just one more step..
:-(
I'm lazy!!!
lol

Fellowship Red Number - If you only want your MAIN LANGUAGE discussion board red numbers to be next to the Fellowship name, you can make that option in Settings (Bottom of page)

Picture of user - it is for Knight & above membership only. (And for those people, you need a 40x50 jpg picture, and send that to info@brainking.com along with your user name.)

Plus if you don't know how to resize a picture, post on the Members only board and one of us can help get a picture ready for you.

to get the RED number off the Fellowships part of our main page. U have to click all the talk for both Discussion boards

◄ Monkeys Swinging Madhouse ► in Czech .

But for some reasons I still can't get the 1 for debate to go away.

And clicking the red number next to the fellowship takes you straight to that db.

Modified by Kevin (30. June 2004, 18:58:13)
Right - there is no need to add fellowship dbs to your favourite list because the new messages are now listed beside each fellowship in the fellowships list.

Subject: Favourite Boards
On fellowships, there is no longer a link to add the DB to your "favourite Boards". On the general Discussion boards, there IS that link. I guess this is because of the "red numbers" next to the fellowship name specifying how many new messages. Much cleaner. Thanks.

Will the next round of a tournement start now automatically if we have the section winners or must we wait until all games are finished
(like in BK 1.0)?

Modified by Niki (30. June 2004, 15:47:19)
Underneath your message box, there is a 'copy to outbox' that I think is ticked by default.. therefore you can view your 'outbox' in the same way as your 'inbox'

sorry, edited because I've just realised that I didn't in fact answer your question atall !!

Subject: message box
Was there supposed to be a feature where you could save messages to a seperate folder thus clearing your message box and also keeping them safer from accidental deletion? Or was that something for the future?

Subject: Message Self / Note Pad
Yes, i send myself messages all the time - But some sort of note-pad would be good.

For example, I sent myself a lot of the special characters (♪, ♫, ☼, ►, etc..) that way is I need one, I can just look in my Message box and pull that message up and copy-n-paste. Other times I have used it is if I want to keep an eye on a tournament, I'll message myself a link.

I send myself messages also, I think BBW does also.
Or do we just talk to ourselves LOL
Maybe I could make new fellowship and invite all my nics to it and talk to myself in public LMAO

Yes i do that too jason!!! when i do birthday cakes etc.... its easier to test them by sending them to yourself rather than keep editing them on a board...
