i just uploaded a site called

centro verde

and i put in two scripts for a navigation-bar and for changing images. tested it in different browsers and there are occuring some mysterious mistakes... . those simple scripts should work cross-platform, but in some browsers i cant use my navigation-bar and in some the image-change-funktion seems to have problems. (one of the pages with image-change-function is this one

ljeffers: The new PC's I buy for work have 3 fans on them. 1 dedicated just for the processor. The other dedicated just to the power supply. The 3rd is for the rest of the box.

ljeffers: fans are supposed to run always while your machine is on. If it stays on when u shut it off then you have a problem

Thank you I know it has to run sometimes but I didnt think it was supposed to all the time.

ljeffers: U dont want the fan to shut off.. if you do it can over heat your processor if thats the fan u mean..then your machine goes kaput.
Power supply fans an case fans can over heat the power supply if they are shut off. we have fans for a reason! If you want it shut off cuz its noisy that means its time for a new fan.

I can't get the fan to shut off on my tower,anyone know what to do?

Gordon Shumway: Thanks, that helped making my pieces bigger, its a better solution than I had hoped for!

Family Man: That's because of the line and column numbers next to the board - they of course grow along with all the other text. The only solution would be if you are currently using the small sets of game pieces.

If I use the small pente pieces for example, the board gets distorted as soon as I increase the text size one time. If I use the big pieces, I can increase it five times before that happens.

MadMonkey: Yes, I use the control key with the + button, does the same thing, and it just changes the boards shape as well as my text. I dont think there will be any solution, but I thought i would ask anyway. Thanks!

Family Man: Have you tried holding down your left CTRL key and use your mouse wheel to increase / decrease ?

When I increase my text size it makes my game boards, like 5 in line become long and narrow. Is there a way to increase the size of my text and avoid this?

Fencer, how about getting brainking to the top of Google search ? Try netconcepts, may be able to get us up there

i use it for some sites and never had any trouble with pop-ups until the last few days
ive got pop-ups turned of but im still getting them at 3 every few mins

As to why i have started getting these Error messages. It happened a couple of times yesterday, and lots today. Seems to happen more the faster i try to play. As far as i know i have not changed anything, apart from updating my virus scanner lately.

Marfitalu: I had the same problem some time back my smilie bananas wouldnt dance lol, jsut thought they wee tired at first, but i did i complete clear out, cache etc, then they started dancing again

Thanks for that.. I thought there might be an another address to access Brainking that wouldn`t be recognized as a games site and the alternative languages may work. I did get a couple of other tips to try next time, I`m stuck at work for a couple of weeks ! :)

afella: I was unsure what websense was, but after a quick search - seem like software some companies use to block certain websites.

If that is the case - if you are allowed to place games while at work, talk to your IT person to see if they can unblock the site so you can play during breaks and such.

You may also try to see if any of the other BrainKing addresses work. (BrainKing.cz, etc... many different languages - not sure if once you use one of those addresses and switch back to English (or whatever) if the domain will still be the same you started with - but worth some playing if all brainking.*** are not blocked.

Plus there seems to be many Yahoo pages when you search for bypass websense or How to Block websense - but use each page at own risk. Being fired because you compromised work network may not be the best reason to risk your job.

Please, how can I play Brainking moves when Websense 'games filter' prevents me from accessing brainking.com ?

Oceans Apart: It is a Dell Demension E520 Home Media Center which I can download Vista but I have to pay for that even tho the rep from Dell said that it was free but keeping Windows XP

MagicDragon: Mine is compatible with my pc, it comes with the cd rom and all the cables, , like Bernice said it is a fantastic camera, really easy to use and quite compact.

i have a Kodak C530 and it also is idiot proof, and it takes stills and movies....absolutely fantastic..

Oceans Apart: Anything that is idiot proof would be great! LOL I checked to see which kind of cameras is compatible w/ this comp but yours I didn't see listed. Would any camera be compatible or just the 1's that have the cables & CD-Rom to match my comp?

Mousetrap: I even checked my mail security level ( which is on medium) to be sure. Still it happens everytime I try doing this. Always right under the subject line instead of the e-mail. I even saved it as a jpeg & still can't get it. Unless it is because of the type of comp I have
