Tuesday: Thank goodness we have Fox News to lend a level headed fair and balanced perspective, they don't have a horse in the race, it helps them maintain credability beyond reproach.
Tuesday: When I first head the issue framed as a mosque being built at ground zero, I was a little taken aback, maybe a lil too delicate an undertaking, then I heard the facts
Tuesday: I think many who are against it, actually think it will be plunked right in the spot "ground zero" It's actually a property that has been owned and run by Muslims for years, it's just being renovated and expanded.I think it's at least 2 or three blocks from the actual 9/11 site
Tuesday: I never let political affiliation get in the way of a good joke,.........and have you ever wondered why there are so few good Republican comics?
Ferris Bueller: I don't dislike Palin half as much as I dislike the fact she is considered relevent. It is a sad comment on our current political environment that she has not been laughed back to Alaska. Can you imagine her entering the political environment of even the early 70's? I think the Republicans back then had more respect for political representation, and would have distanced themselves from her very quickly.
Argomento: Re:And the tax cuts, if lifted, will trickle down and everyone will be affected
Artful Dodger: voodoo economics, even Reagan's former staff members rebuff that claim, amongst many others.
As I said, 97% will not be effected by the cuts, but Republicans are tripping over themselves trying to save the rich from a tax hike, while thumbing their fingers at those who have expiring benefits.
Artful Dodger: How about those Republicans misrepresenting the lifting of the tax cuts? They are wrongly depicting them being lifted for anyone other than the top 3 %
and they also blocked unemployment insurence benefits. If there was ever any confusion of who the Republicans are looking out for, all doubt has passed. They are looking out for the top percentage of earners, but couldn't care less about the unemployed.
Artful Dodger: that link doesn't work for m.I would need to go to the website that carries it here in Canada, and that's a shlep I'm not motivated enough to make right now
Tuesday: Imagine a world without gay people............not a world I'd want to live in,not having Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, would alone be a deal breaker.I don't think homophobes realise how much of a void we would have in the world without the contributions of the gay community
Artful Dodger:I think it's become pretty clear what Brietbart was trying to do,Was it responded to well by the head of her dept and the NAACP? no, they probably didn't think anyone would be as devious as Brietbart, so they knee jerked, but now that the facts are out, he's alone on an Island of hate
Artful Dodger: Brietbart set a good trap didn't he, but it seems everyone is seeing through the bs.If they had not reacted quickly, of course they would be slammed for allowing a fed employee to go along her "racist" path with no punishment.Yes, Brietbart thinks he's smarter than everybody
Argomento: Re: it's about the administration buying their lies
(V): True, they are masters at exploiting the "bogymen",and playing on fear. How they get away on maintaining the mantle of cutting spending I'll never know. The deficit shot up bigtime when St Ronny got in after Carter, and did the same after GW took over from Clinton..........They are very disiplined at staying on messege though, a fine tuned machine.
Artful Dodger: Brietbart and Fox should be ashamed of themselves for commenting on an edited video without knowing the complete story. When the true story came to light, they both should have apologised to the same degree that the performed the hatchet job on her
Artful Dodger:Andrew Brietbart, in cahoots with Fox created this mess, they along with the WH owe this woman, and the farmer an apology. The NAACP have already done so.Fox wil just keep spinning along.Instead of her speech being about her wonderful epiphony, they edited it into the gutter
(V): They'll just change the spin, as they did at the end of the clip. Now it's not about the misrepresentation of the woman, it's about the administration buying their lies
