They are wrong, draw is possible. Since I'm not a participant of this tournament, I'm writing here. Here you can see the local fragment, the rest of the board is filled systematically. OXXXXOOOOX XOOOOXXXXO OXXXXOOOOX XOOOOXXXXO ABCDEFGHIJ At first, players fill columns C,D,G,H etc. After that they fill remained columns. It is easy to see that any piece will not be captured. 5. Shoot for it next year  yeah I've done the fill board before with snut and dmitriking trying to draw and it does work when all the spaces are filled up in the correct sequence. realistically though you have to design it like you said since more than likely you'll never fill the board without captures occurring especially towards the end. In regular pente it's rare to see a board with 30 moves still being played though. most games are decided in under 20 :) cool board aaru :) |
