If you can get to it, or capture it… you can SEE it!
Otherwise… you are playing chess in the dark.
Unlike chess that has been analyzed ad infinitum…
Dark chess is in its relative infancy…

There are of course certain fundamentals that apply,
But the integral difference is “disclosure”
Where chess is full and “above board”
This mirrors the world we live in; dark secrets...

Chess quick mates apply- plus new helpmates!
The more you know- the better your chances...
Do your ‘homework’- research your opponent-
“Stay here” after your move and miss nothing!

White can be more aggressive…
Even bringing out the lady early;]
Consequently Black is more defensive…
But can set knight traps for ‘her’

Herein lies the “dark chess” conundrum…
Is what you see, [or not see]
A wicked, cunningly designed,
Psychological trap OR…

Through stealth and misdirection,
[Or just sheer stupidity,
All the anathema of pure chess;]
Blindingly good luck?

If so, whether it be luck or skill,
Or a riverboat gambler's bluff-
I wish it in equal amounts…
For all we honorable players!
