Yes, the "super" important fatally believe to be at the right place at the right time without having an idea how boring they are in giving the audience a bad example. Just to keep themself entertaining to me, I imagine them being sort of aliens, the hatch that never should have escaped a pyramid, demons in human shape. That makes them sort of funny.
