Pedro Martínez: money? surely not enough to make Fencer rich. There can't be many people around willing to pay money to a game site in order NOT to play.
Marfitalu: You should be entitled to 10/35/45 vacations days per year. Period. Not less, not more. Regardless of how many times you renew your membership.
However, this is just my opinion from a user's perspective. I do understand that a manager might have a different opinion, based on the fact that the current system brings more money in the "BK budget".

Fencer: Only? For me he would have 0 days. He already spent 35 days this year and now has more 35 days. Why not create a number maximum of holidays for year, independently of number of paid membership that a player could buy?
This way, my game with this person can finish in 2050. What can i do? Nothing...maybe wait until he become poor for cannot buy more paid inscripion.

Someone has more 35 days of holidays...how is it possible? This is ridiculous. He renovates his paid membership only for win more holidays and Fencer don't must allow it. Why not stipulate a number maximum of holidays, for example 50 days for year. This way, a player can buy 10, 20 or 100 paid inscriptions, but will have always a maximum of 50 days of holidays in that year.</p>
Other question, why not become compulsory auto pass or at least create a poll about this? I know many people agree with my opinion, so why not? Sometimes, i see some polls without interest for BrainKing and this question would be interesting, i think...
Assunto: Re: Finding how many free slots I need for tournaments
pauloaguia: Oh! I had no idea! Thanks for the info.
I guess that only counts for new rounds, not new tournaments, right? Because I see the "please keep at least X free slots" message when I sign up for a new tournament.
Assunto: Re: Finding how many free slots I need for tournaments
Ceiter: If you're worried about not entering the nexxt stage of the tournament you don't need to be. whenever BrainKing automatically creates new games for you, you can go over the 50 games limit. You just won't be able to create any new games from that point on until you get below that limit again.
Assunto: Finding how many free slots I need for tournaments
I'm near the 50-game limit of my Brain Knight membership, and I realize that I'm still in several tournaments where I've finished all my games and am waiting for the next round to begin. As far as I can see, there's no way to tell at a glance how many slots I need to keep open to be sure there's no problem when the new rounds start. I need to click on every running tournament of mine, see which ones I'm advancing in and tally up the slots I'll need. It's not too convenient since I'm in 17 running tournaments.
It would be nice if there were a way to see from the tournament list in my profile which tournaments are waiting to start a new round and how many slots they need. Maybe the tournament list could have an extra column showing whether I'm advancing, eliminated, or if it's still undetermined, and another column showing how many slots the tournament needs.
Would it be possible to have a reminder message sent to the relevant Team captain (or Big Boss) 24 hours before a Team Tournament is about to start, so they can enter there Team (if not entered already of course).
I think we need a foyer or something similar for players who are looking for others to play a game of poker. You often see people observing rooms that are empty, just waiting for an opponent or you get players pop into a room to leave a message about starting another game at another table etc... there is no where for anyone to post a message about looking for a game without checking every room that may have a player in.
Fencer: When looking through Team Tournaments myself (and another) asked for some changes to make sifting through Teams & Tournament players easier. Please consider them if you have not already (see below)
If its no, could you at least provide a direct link from the Team Tournaments (as in where you enter a Team) page to the relevant Team in the Fellowship.
At present we have:Your team: Monkeys Swinging Madhouse but that is only there if i am in a Team. A link just for Big Bosses to click on would be so useful when trying to sort Teams out
coan.net: But surely the difference between "random position for each game", and "random position repeated over the whole tournament" is way smaller than the difference between "one game match" and "10 wins match" the tournament creator can make for the final match anyway. Not to mention a difference between "max 4 people per segment" and "max 20 people per segment".
IMO, only three kinds of tournament editing make sense:
No editing allowed at all
Only allow editing things that don't affect game play (name of the tournament, days after deadline, early start, add/delete game types)
Edit anything (time control, match types, number of participants/section, autopass, etc)
Brainking allows more than 2), but doesn't allow you to edit everything.
MadMonkey: The only small issue with that is if I sign up for a tournament with random position with each opponent, and then after I'm signed up - the tournament creator changes it to something I don't like (like same position with all opponents) - then that would not be too fair to the users signed up.
When we get the option to edit a created tournament could we have the following option added please.
For games with a random start position generate * the same position with all opponents * a random position with each opponent
I recently set a Knight Fight Tournament up, and it was pointed out to me i had not checked the right box, but i was not allowed to edit it, so now all games are the same. Its only a practice for the Team Tournament coming so not greatly important this time, but would be normally
On Main page we have a few lists of games: Your turn, Opponent's turn and Invitations waiting for response. First two lists can become shortened (Settings -> General -> Number of games shown on the main page -> "all", "5", "10", "20"...) or even hidden (Settings -> General -> Show games where it is opponent's turn to move on the main page -> "x"). Is it possible to do something similar for the list of created games awaiting opponent? A simple "hide" would be sufficient. Thanks.
"GERRY": Also, at the top of your list of games, click on the column "Time Left". If it then lists them as Most time left to least time left, click the column again, and it will be from Least time left to most time left.
When we post a link to a message (or click on the Link on the top right corner of one) we go to a page that displays that message as expected. However, I think it would be better to be forwarded to a page where all the messages around it were also displayed, like this one.
My feature request is more modest - show the "Context" link underneath it like when we do a search. Using the thread is not always the answer because it only works when people reply to the message, sometimes the thread is broken and looking at the context just makes more sense and is the only way to get it all...
Assunto: Is it possible to have the option added....
Where a person can select to not get fellowship invitations from a certain user, ie an addition to the block system so that in effect a user is totally blocked. As at the moment, a blocked user can still send you an invite to their fellowship and talk to you even though you have blocked them in all other ways (like hide).
Mad Monkey had a great idea regarding dice chess... why not have a random dice chess variation or a crazy screen dice chess 10x10 variation... this way, people could place kings in opposite corners, etc
rabbitoid: total, that will tell me how much activity there is without having to click on the poker table list, it is already broken down into each table at the poker table list
BadBoy7: Right now there are a couple of 30 second tables - once out of "test" mode, there can be some 20 second or even 15 second tables. (could even go down to 10 seconds)
How About Some 15 second tables the time is too long and players make the tables run slow and forever..i mean if ur gonna play poker play it and not 5 other things at same time to hold up the game
rabbitoid: Thats funny, or how bout the numbers get in center of box thats a little larger,,,and maybe the numbers start as green,,then yellow midway,,,,then red.... all this i know may be hard or not worth implementing
Press_Play: good remark. I'd like to propose another change: currently, the only thing that indicates the player who's turn it is to act is the counter. It would be nice to highlight "your turn, DO SOMETHING!!!" in a better way.
I had a thought which is a rarity. :) I suffer from CRS [Can't remember s*... err stuff]. But like when one folds the cards they had disappear, I like to still know what i had as watching the end of round whether i folded and make a poor choice then mumble to myself about it. But like say when ya fold the cards you had would shade a little to still know what you had. Most likely more ppl remember but after minutes of betting and such its hard to recall. Thats just me, however i thought i mention it. I said once this is great work getting the game up and kudo's. If i wasn't so finiancially embaressed i'd get a membership today.
grenv: The rule of taking a persons last bet if they time out was put in as a way to compensate for not allowing vacation days in the game. Big ponds can take months (and even more then a year) to play - and since you can't use a vacation day on a pond while you might be away, many will plan ahead and place a slightly "higher" bet that will hopefully keep them in place for the rounds they will miss, and hopefully be around when they get back.
I guess there is a concern about "equal information" - but the problem is in many games (like Battleboats - I can look at my opponent past games to figure out if they like to place boats near each other - if they normally place them near the edge - figure out where they normally like to shot at first so i don't put my boats there, etc...). I guess the good solution would be to jut place in the dark ponds if you really worried about this.
I think a better rule would be that if someone doesn't play then force a maximum possible bet for that player - which would reduce their total to 0 next time giving everyone equal information.
Games really require everyone have equal information to be a good game and since there are different time zones and everyone has different ability to be online a different amount of time - there is not equal information in this regard, giving some people an unfair advantage.
grenv: "wreck the game": No. It's one of the factors to be taken into account. Same as, for example, if you are in a 2-day pond, checking people's profiles to see if they've been online the last 2 days to place their bets. By the way, it can backfire: I remember a pond where I placed a "surefire" bet and found myself swimming along with others when the so and so renewed his membership an hour before deadline
grenv: I think you are missing the point. No one is complaining about the change. People just want it announced, when it happens, so they know not to play that way. It is a major change.
