whopper: I completely agree, but when I send the draw offer WITH my roll that gets me into 5 pegs or less... they can A: See they have the game won. B: Realize they now have a little less than 50% chance of winning. With those two options, if you don't "peg" in, then why not accept!? Now that I actually sit here thinking about it though... I shouldn't offer the draw, because if it isn't A, then I would be slightly favored to win...
Pedro: It is a game of luck, maybe everyone should. However, their is strategy to it, whether to peg a piece out or to move one up on 6's, whether to chase your opponent on one side of the board, or run on the other side of the board... things like that. It is a game of chance! It about taking the probability put in front of you and determining which will account for a better position for you compared to your opponent. So, no draws at the beginning of the game. That is simply dumb. Draws when it is even at the end, and no strategy is involved, and more just "dumb luck"... that is debateable, hence my earlier post.
